Dr. Edward William Frank, MD

Dr. Frank was making small talk with the nurse during my entire procedure. I have never experienced a doctor doing this and it was very uncomfortable. Especially when he was suturing my forehead after the MOHS procedure and going on and on about his trip somewhere. I worried he wasn't paying attention and the way my scar is healing, I fear I might be right. I don't know what would compel him to treat a patient like he or she wasn't even there during a procedure to treat skin cancer. He acted like he didn't care. He also got anesthesia in my eye when he was injecting my forehead. It was painful when he administered the anesthesia and I believe he didn't bother to go at a pace that would have been less painful. But I cannot emphasize enough how unprofessional it was how he chatted away with the nurse who was assisting him. I decided to see another physician in the practice at Beth Israel for the removal of the stitches. That doctor was excellent. One final thing. I was surprised to see… how many stitches I had after the two rounds it took Dr. Frank to get cancer-free margins. After the procedure, the nurse tried to make me feel better and took time to show me the picture of my forehead before the stitching and just how much skin had been removed. This made me feel a lot better. At one point, Dr. Frank walked in and said to the nurse, "You're still here?" Bottom line, terrible.

My husband is an engineer and hates most doctors. Unfortunately for him, living on naval bases in Hawaii, California, and Japan as a child caused some major sun damage. My husband thought Dr. Frank (and Dr. Waldman, plastic surgeon) did an outstanding job on his forehead. Dr. Frank also did an excellent job explaining my husband's options. Thank you!

Outstanding job done on basal cell removal under my eye. After 1 week, could not even tell I had stitches... Amazing! Fran and the rest of the staff are phenomenal also. Would not go to anyone else.

I called Dr. Frank's office to schedule my initial visit. They were able to fit me in on an emergent basis within a timely manner. My initial experience with the office was professional, friendly service. I went in the day of my appt and was greeted right away. I waited no longer than 5 mins after checking in. Dr. Frank was very professional and informative in regards to my diagnosis. I was pleased with all aspects of my visit. I would highly recommend this practice for all dermatology needs.

I saw the nurse practitioner first, but the Dr. Frank came in. It was great to see two provider in one trip! They diagnosed skin cancer, and Dr. Frank removed it. Very caring
