Dr. Wojtys is a wonderful surgeon! My daughter suffered an ACL disruption playing field hockey, and when we asked friends for recommendations for surgeons, they directed us to Dr. Wojtys. In the office, he was very organized, clear and thorough, explaining all of the findings and allowing plenty of time for our questions. We appreciated that he spoke primarily to our daughter rather than ignoring her and speaking just to the parents. On the morning of surgery, he again took time with us explaining what he anticipated and how long he expected it to take. He was nearly exact in his estimate, and he carefully reviewed all of his operative findings with us as soon as he finished the operation. In recovery, he explained what we should expect overnight and how to get a good start on recovery, and that he would be seeing my daughter for follow up the next morning. Dr. Wojtys deserves a lot of praise because this could not have been a better experience.

Dr. Wojtys reconstructed both of my knees one when I was 12 and the other at age 16. Although the process was hard and at times I felt my strength would never come back, there was always encouragement from him and the whole team at medsport. Thanks to them I am able to return to sports after 5 years of knee injuries due to hyper mobility. Not only do they want you to get your strength back but they take it the extra mile and help you find a program so that you can return to even more activity than before. I live 5 hours away but the care was easy and they were able to work around the distance. the biggest concern with surgery was drilling through growth plates as I was still young and growing. every other doctor I had gone to (about 4) wanted to practice this method, however Dr Wojtys had a different approach that was safer and less painful. Most surgeonschoose to operate before trying all options, but he is the opposite because he knows how hard surgery is and he doesn’t want a… patient to have to go through it if they don’t have to.

I have no problem with the delay in appointment (about 40 minutes the first time, over two hours the second), things happen. On the first visit, I thought I had met a very frank,caring, concerned, and helpful Dr. who was "in this" with me. Based on the first visit, it would be all four stars. On the second visit, it was a completely different experience. I had waited over two hours and he spent about two minutes with me. Despite the fact that I had done everything he told me to do in the two months between appointments, and had shown improvement in several of the areas he told me to improve, he basically told me I would have to live with daily pain and that's the way it goes. He was curt and dismissive of my questions. I am going to give it one more try because I believe in MedSport but had this been the experience on the first visit, there would never have been a second.
