horrible Dr who retaliates against patients

I have been trying to contact someone from the office and no answer always goes straight to voicemail

Dr Starbranch never answers calls and the voicemailbox is always full. Sets up virtual appointments then never joins. She's wasted more of my time than I have to waste

Dr. Starbranch is the worst psychiatrist I've ever met! My diagnosis has been the same for 10 years - multiple doctors and therapists have agreed on it. She spent 5 minutes with me in the hospital and diagnosed me with something different just so she could prescribe a certain medication. She didn't even tell me she did this. The weekend therapist did. When I questioned her about it, she said it's because I didn't respond to the other medications I'd tried. I told her that diagnoses are based on symptoms, not medications, and I had never had symptoms that corresponded with her diagnosis. She said it was my right to disagree. She was so cold and dismissive. She also never addressed my sleep issue for the 6 days that I was in the hospital, even though I brought it up more than once and the overnight technician also noted that I was not sleeping. Dr. Starbranch is just awful! Her reviews across all platforms show that I'm not alone in my opinion of her.

Dr. Starbranch provided real commitment to help our daughter become more mentally stable and healthier. Can’t thank her enough for her effort.

My 7 yr old boy was admitted to West Oaks Hospital and became a patient of Dr. Starbranch. She never called me when he was admitted, by law a Board Certified Physician should be qualifying patients for inpatient treatment before admission. I'm sure this wasn't done. The RN Peter who questioned us was very rude and wouldn't answer any of our concerns. I then found out the that afternoon that she had ordered my son to be given meds that knocked him out all day. The following day I was told she ordered that medication again because he was crying and pacing around the nurses station. Of course a 7 yr old boy who has never been away from home would be scared, I told the nurse I didn't want the medicine given to him and they still did. That day I called around and was able to get him a bed for him at another facility and she refused to release him. I even gave the information of where and who would be treating him and she refused to even do a transfer that day. The nurse told me to go… back the next morning and that Dr. Starbranch would submit transfer orders. I arrived the next morning to find out that she refused to release or transfer him and threatened me that she would call CPS. It's not like I wasn't seeking help for him, I would never risk my child to be in danger. So I risked it and signed him out and took him straight to the other facility where a Physician saw him right away. Two days later I received a call from CPS. Even the agent was shocked to hear the story. I will surely be filing with the Texas Medical Board, I believe everyone should submit their case to them against her. She is just evil.

She was my doctor while I was in the hospital. She was rude, said rude things to her associate about my parents right in front of me. She would not listen to me about the kind of medication I needed. If there was a worse rating than poor, that is what I would rate her.

Cared for my child for almost 2 weeks in patient spoke to me once for 1 min then signed child out AMA and threatened to call CPS.

She is TERRIBLE. She treated a family member that went in for what we suspected was improper medication uses (doubling up or forgetting to take). Our hope was that the meds would be administered properly and our family member would level out. Instead, dr came up with a diagnosis of schitzoeffective disorder, administered a shot that lasts for 3 months, and completely changed the medicine that our family member had been on for months. Any decent psychiatrist knows that you cannot change meds abruptly. After a week of watching our family member decline, we were told over the phone that she was being discharged that day and needed full time care. We had not prepared for a full time nurse (there was no previous indication of needing one) so we had to convince dr to continue to treat her until arrangements could be made. We had to request a family meeting with dr to discuss the discharge instructions (this was not arranged by the dr). Another dr attended this meeting instead of dr… Starbranch and he gave our family member an IQ of 64 and cited that the IQ dropped at least 11 points during the care there. When I said that this family member was fully functioning before arriving here, I just got a blank stare. Two hours later, our family member was told that she was free to go and she could choose where she wanted to go. UNBELIEVABLE!!! dr also called my sister in another state to tell her that family member was being discharged that day and APS would be called if nobody picked her up. Any dr would be better than this demon- I'm terrified to think about how we can undo the mess that she created.

extremely disrespectful, impossible to get in touch with, no communication with family, increased dosage too fast, condescending, need I say more. SHE SHOULD NOT BE PRACTICING MEDICINE. stay away from her. find another dr.
