Dr. Elena Brand, PhD

I've been working with Dr. Elena Brand for the past ten years, after a referral from my trusted family doctor. Prior to working with Dr. Brand, I never lasted with a therapist for more than a year, for a variety of reasons. The two biggest reasons I think Dr. Brand has "worked" well with me? Consistency and professionalism. Dr. Brand has seen me through a major career change, a big move, and countless family situations that I was unequipped to handle. Her consistency as I rode waves of change was the stability that allowed me to move forward. I also work with a handful of other medical professionals on a regular basis. I am hypersensitive to information being passed between these professionals, which happens after I see each of them. Dr. Brand is always on top of making sure I have given her, and them, written consent to speak with each other, and has always been steadfast in making sure releases are up-to-date. Therapy is hard work, looking at yourself and the way you interact… with the world can be a painful and tearful process. Dr. Brand is truly a gem, and I am lucky to work with her as my therapist.
