I had the unfortunate experience of selecting Dr Chetver as my primary care physician. I often went to her office for birth control injections and was given them by someone in her office, the receptionist? I don't know what her job was as she was never introduced to me and was wearing street clothes and answering the phone as well as serving patients every time I was there. The last time I saw Dr. Chetver it was for extreme pain in my lower back and numbness and loss of function in my foot. She said it was ok and told me to go on a planned vacation for 3 weeks and that I could schedule an xray somewhere else. She gave me some pain killers. I had herniated a disc in my back badly enough to cause permanent damage to my foot. She never even mentioned that perhaps it was very serious and I should see a Dr immediately. When I finally saw a surgeon, he was ready to do surgery THAT DAY, as he immediately recognized how serious it was. When I finally switched Drs and insurance, my medical… records notes from Dr. Chetver weren't even correct about what she saw me for and what medications I was on. Her office is cluttered and dirty and feels like you are in someone's apartment. The man who does the billing can't answer ANY questions about why they are sending you a bill. Awful from top to bottom.

I called yesterday to ask when my appointment was as I had made my appointment nearly a month ago and explained to the receptionist that I was driving and wouldn’t be able to write it down, they said I would receive a reminder call and to not worry. When I didn’t receive one I called to ask for my appointment time and it went to voicemail saying someone would call me back within 30 minutes, no one called me back. I called just now, this morning the day of my appointment to be told that my appointment was in 15 minutes. I ask if I can see a different doctor as I’ve been sick and need to see someone, the receptionist then asks who my insurance is, asks why I haven’t gone to urgent care, why I didn’t write my appointment down and continues to tell me what I didn’t do write when she’s the one that isn’t doing her job properly. When I tell her it doesn’t matter, this is her job not mine she tells me, “first off this is not my job” well who is responsible for making the reminder phone calls?… Because it’s clearly not the patient. It’s not the offices fault that I’m missing my appointment but how the receptionist handled the situation was in very poor taste and is clearly very disorganized if they can’t make reminder calls to all of the patients of one doctor. I’ll be going elsewhere.

The doctor is excellent.
