Dr. Elena Nirenberg, MD

Saw Dr Nirenberg for a case of poison ivy - I was already taking prednisone for 6 days and it hadn't helped. She barely looked at me the whole 3 minutes she was in the exam room with me. She sat with her back to me typing on her computer. When I tried to ask questions, she was very dismissive. I had to beg her to give me a steroid cream because the itch was so bad. Her remedy was apple cider vinegar and baking soda. She couldn't get out of the room fast enough. Will never go back to this practice.

Dr Nirenberg spends quality time with every single patient. She does not rush you out the door and throw a script at you. She listens to your concerns and will always offer ways to treat your concerns with diet change, posture change, physical therapy, etc. She will explain every answer in detail, which I appreciate to every extend, especially with my teenagers. She does not make you feel like you are a lesser intellectual (like so many doctors do). Thank you Dr Nirenberg!

She is one of a rare few doctors these days that don't just throw medicines at a problem. For my condition she offered to help with a change in diet and this has been the best solution over medicine. She is very thorough and compassionate. Highly recommend.

Like the title says she is thorough and her lung exam for a lung condition is great...she even auscultates the right middle lobe....which most docs don't bother.. She is also open minded to things that might help besides just meds...she is nice and well trained and I feel bad for the lady that was misdiagnosed and I don't know the circumstances but medicine is systematic and they go from the most likely diagnosis and work from there...that is protocol and docs have to follow protocol. I would go to her again and I would take my kids or my parents to her without hesitation.

Abrupt, rude, unprofessional. Misdiagnosed, Ended up hospitalized in ICA. Shocking experience.
