Dr. Elina Teresa Pfaffenbach, MD

I do not believe any of these positive reviews (written after the negative ones that mirror my experience). Dr. Pfaffenbach was one of the roughest and most unkind doctors I’ve ever met. Her complete lack of empathy during an incredibly difficult time during my pregnancy (hospitalized in preterm labor - she wasn’t my regular doctor but was “caring” for me as my regular MD was out) was awful and she did not instill any confidence in her understanding of my condition. In hindsight I believe I was misdiagnosed and she could have caught why I was in preterm labor in the first place. She doesn’t seem to believe patients have any rights to informed consent (without coercion) nor to even understand what is happening. Very “my way or the highway” in attitude.

Dr Pfaffenbach took great care of me with both my babies! She is kind, caring and very on top of what is current. Would highly recommend her!

I wasn't sure who I wanted to see for my first ob experience, but several of my friends recommended Dr. Pfaffenbach, so I went ahead and chose her to be my ob doctor. And I'm SO glad I did! Dr. Pfaffenbach was very nice and extremely professional every time I saw her. And when it came time for my delivery, she was there when I needed her! Not only was she super nice, she seemed very knowledgeable and experienced too. Even though my pregnancy and delivery went pretty smoothly, I was always reassured that Dr. Pfaffenbach would be able to handle any difficulties or anything bad that might have happened. I will continue to see her for my follow-ups and future ob, and I will definitely recommend her to others!

I wasn't sure who to see for my first ob experience, but after listening to a few of my friends, I decided I'd see Dr. Pfaffenbach. And I'm SO glad I did. Dr. Pfaffenbach was very kind and professional every time I saw her. She was also super knowledgeable and VERY experienced. Although my pregnancy and delivery went pretty smoothly, I was always reassured knowing that if anything difficult or bad happened, Dr. Pfaffenbach would be the best one to handle the situation. I'm very happy with the care she provided and the whole experience overall. I will definitely recommend Dr. Pfaffenbach to others and I'll be seeing her again for my gyn follow-ups and any future ob care!!!

I lost my baby 2 days ago due to a placental abruption, my normal doctor was in surgery and could not make it in right away so she sent in dr.pfaffenbach, she walked into my room, and was immediately rude, I was having a hard time going to the bathroom because I was very scared about giving birth to my baby at 16 weeks, she very rudely talked to me as I was clearly in pain she kept trying to force a catheter on me and I kept declining because I was very uncomfortable with this woman doing any of of my care. She made comments like “fine let your uterus explode then” and “okay well if you’re going to act like that then I’m leaving” i lost my child the last thing I needed was her to make me feel worse and she definitely did. No compassion at all and was very self centered. Would never recommend this doctor.

Dr. Pfaffenbach delivered both of my babies. She is a wonderful and caring doctor.

Dr Pfaffenbach took care of me for my pregnancy and was there for my delivery as well, it was awesome to have her there for my whole experience, she was always kind, caring and "real"!
