Dr. Aranow is terrific-- very caring, knowledgable and with a wonderful communication style,

I have been seeing Dr Aronow for about 30 years. She is the BEST gyn MD I've ever seen. She has helped from being fertile then through menopause and now being 75 and am disabled.

Dr Aronow excellent physician

My daughter was experiencing a tremendous amount of pain during her periods. She did not want to take birth control pills because they can interact with another important medication she is on. She left an after-hours message to see if there was perhaps something that could be prescribed to help. with the pain. Dr. Aronow actually yelled at her and said "You're just going to have to take the birth control pills and deal with it!". Not sure if she felt it was okay to yell at a patient because she was not calling from the office and no one would hear her. After that incident, my daughter found an amazing doctor, and it turned out she had tons of endometriosis, which this doctor removed. Painful endometriosis, yet Dr. Arnow yelled at her to "deal with it". Also, like many others here, we found communications with the office staff to be nearly impossible.

I would give zero stars if I could. But I had to leave a star to post a review. My wife went to this “doctor” for routine gynecology appointments for a couple of years after another obgyn sadly retired (he was wonderful and quite beloved). Then one day my wife was having a lot of pain due to a certain issue and not only was it next to impossible to get a receptionist to get her a timely appointment but once she finally did, Dr Aronow treated her like she was a nuisance and was very disrespectful in her manner. This is quite unacceptable and was for no reason. She also caused my wife more pain, the way she examined her. Frankly we think she should not be a practicing physician. Do yourself a favor and do not subject yourself to this cold, callous person.

I had an awful experience being Dr Aronow’s patient. She not only seemed lacking in the most basic of knowledge about my condition but, she had the absolute worst bedside manner I have ever experienced in a physician. I would not recommend Dr. Aronow to anyone. Also, I can see from the numerous negative reviews from other women who have gone through childbirth with her that I am not alone. She was neither kind nor gentle during a particular procedure, and, there was no communication from her to me either. I had a wonderful obgyn previously (now retired, much to the sadness of many women), so I do have the opposite to compare this physician to.

I would give her 0 stars if I could - I'm shocked at how unprofessional she was. I chose to go to her after seeing a lot of good reviews about her. First, no one ever answers the phone so you can never get a hold of the doctors office. Then, when I finally get an appointment, I had to wait 20-30 minutes. When she finally came in and I expressed my concerns/symptoms, she got frustrated because I had multiple questions. She rushed me out the door, and after stepping out, I overhear her talking to the other employees insulting me. I waited and stepped in front of her to make her realize I could hear her, and she quickly put on a fake act and tried to be polite. Never again, she does not deserve to be a doctor.

First of all, good luck getting anyone to answer the phone. Also, I walked in once and ALL THREE receptionists were chatting with each other facing AWAY from the phones. Now I know why I could never get through. I visited Dr. Aronow earlier this year because I thought I had a UTI which turned out to be a relatively serious and chronic pelvic floor dysfunction. The examination was brief and basic. I found out it wasn't a UTI after waiting almost a week for lab results (she said it would only take two days!) and after almost a week of taking antibiotics. The pain still hadn't gone away. I called back and expressed my opinion about what else it could be. She told me that I probably just needed something topical for the irritation. OK, and how is that supposed to treat the pain I am still feeling in my pelvis plus the frequent urination? Plus, after doing some of my own research, it turns out her knowledge is out-of-date, and possibly just plain erroneous. It also turns out I have… several things going on with my pelvic floor, and she was no help. Had to see three other doctors... Ladies, if you are a mature woman over 35, please do not waste your time with Aronow. Find a caring, attentive office with someone who is knowledgable and qualified to treat you.

Wouldn't refer her to my worst enemy. I was her patient for many years and when I got pregnant her response was, "So we're here now." Not a congratulations or a smile or anything positive to say. When I had the baby, she not only didn't deliver him, but didn't even stop by my room and she was in the hospital that day! When I went for my post-op visit and brought a picture of my son, she completely disregarded it. Needless to say, I never went back and wouldn't recommend her to anyone!
