Dr. Elizabeth Darsey Butler

Dr. Butler I think is one of the best in her field; very attentive, listens well, very considerate of cost to patients, just understands that some medical treatments can be costly. She personally works with patients insurance companies to get any outside test etc. paid for. It's a couple of the members of her nursing staff she needs to look into. Her head nurse and assistant (who prepares he patient-before and after the visit) is very unapproachable, they don't have a good bedside manner, makes one feel as though they should not have come. Doctor and staff goes hand-in-hand and someone really needs to tell these two that.

I had being going to dr Butler for years and she was really good when I didn’t have a problem but if you have a problem she can be dismissive. I went to her when my legs started to feel like weak noodles and she totally dismissed me and told me to go see a neurologist. This was in Nov and since then this has been the worst year of my life. I have in been in rehab, I can’t drive and I don’t know if my life will ever be the same. I am currently in a wheelchair. To make a long story short I went to see a neurologist who said my problem was caused by my RA and I needed to get my RA under control. I found another Rheumatogist who was really not interested, so I had to find yet another who has put me on some medication that hopefully will give me my life back. If Dr Butler had not been so dismissive and realized my RA was acting up I would not have had to good thru this nightmare I am living.

Office staff very organized and pleasant. Dr. Butler apologized for not remembering me from 20+ years ago. Immediately diagnosed my hand problem. Prescription has helped that problem. I am to return in 1 month for follow-up. Looking forward to seeing her and her staff again .

She was extremely thorough in her examination.....plus having an informative and friendly manner. She most definitely knows her field of expertise

She was the 5th and last Rheumatologist I'd seen since being diagnosed with Lupus in 2013. She was the only one to sit down and listen to my symptoms/concerns. She was diligent in ordering labs, and changing my prescriptions whenever needed. In addition, she always explained the different medications, and has been cautious in prescribing meds that are known to have many negative side-effects.

This office does lack in the personality department. I am still a patient at this office but I will be switching physicians soon. The nurses rarely call you back when you leave a message. It would take 2-3 calls before I would receive a return call. Front office is a nightmare to work with. There is one person, Michael, that is pleasant. Unfortunately, I can not say that for the remaining staff. I feel Dr. Butler is an intelligent person but she does lack in bed side manner. At times, she can seem a little hostile.

I had been to 4 other doctors. Finally I found Dr. Butler. I have fibromylgia and she has effectively treated. I am have confidence in her!

Highly recommend. Some office staff not up to snuff, but it's worth wading through that part. Excellent diagnostic skills, listens and treats conservatively, but effectively.

My experience was horrible! Just as the other rater, her bedside manner is one of the worst I have ever experienced. She was rude, nasty, kept cutting me off and never allowed me to explain my medical history. She dismissed all my complaints, accused me of just wanting pain pills and was extremely unprofessional. Her office staff dis not return phone calls. I had to keep calling and calling just to get an appointment. This was my first and last visit there. I had a follow up appointment, but was called to say she was sick and it would be rescheduled. I'm still waiting and that has been two weeks ago. I called to get my test results. I won't hold my breath. Find another doc quick!!!

Within the first 5 minutes we knew Dr butler was not the one. Her bedside manner was an embarassment to her profession. Combative and degrading comes to mind. I feel for the older patients on medicade that are forced to put up with this Doctor. A very much text book doctor.
