Dr. Elizabeth Penick Clark, DO

This was by far the WORST experience I've EVER had with a doctor. I recently moved and needed a new Primary Care Physician. Dr. Clark is in my network for my insurace and is listed as taking new patients. I scheduled my appointment two weeks in advance and gave a summary of treatment needs and confirmed Dr. Clark was in Family Practice. My appointment was scheduled for 2:00 pm, so I showed up to my appointment 15 minutes early to complete necessary paperwork and insurance information. Take into account that I had to ask off from work to make this appointment as my work hours are the same as doctor's offices' work hours and in my line of work, time off is not easy to obtain. I completed the paperwork by 2:00 pm and proceeded to wait in the lobby for 45 minutes for the doctor and "exam room" to be available. When I was finally taken back, I gave another summary of my condition and a little backround to the receptionist who filled out the preliminary paperwork. I waited in the exam room… for another twenty minutes, until the receptionist came back and told me that the Doctor said I needed to just be referred to an OB/GYN. What?! My condition has NOTHING to do with an OB/GYN. I have an OB/GYN and she always refers me to my Primary Care Physician. I explained this to the receptionist who apologized and said she didn't understand it either, but she would go talk with the doctor again. Ten minutes later, the receptionist returned again and said she would refer me to an OB/GYN but the doctor wouldn't see me. So basically, I took time off of work and waited an hour and a half to hear from an assistant that I should see someone else. DR. CLARK DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO COME AND TALK TO ME HERSELF. She referred me to someone else without even setting eyes on me or discussing my condition or history with me. I would NEVER recommend Dr. Elizabeth Clark to ANYONE. My experience was completely un-professional and a HUGE waste of time.
