I have been taking small dosage Clonazepam nighty for over 25 years. Dr. Moore has been prescribing this and another medication since I started seeing her. I usually see her every 6 to 12 months for a checkup and she prescribes the medication with no problems. I called in a refill for the clonazepam last week on July 3rd because I was getting low and wanted to make sure I had it refilled by today July 10th when I ran out. I called her office yesterday because the pharmacy said they had not heard back from Dr. Moore for the refill. I was told Dr. Moore had been on vacation for a week and wouldn't be back until this morning and they would get with her to get it refilled since I was out of the medication and you are not supposed to stop taking it cold turkey after being on it for years. A woman called me this morning and told me I now have to see the doctor before they can refill it. I made an appointment for July 14th. I asked the woman what I am supposed to do for medication until the… 14th. She told me that I can always go to the emergency room if I need to. This is unacceptable! Dr. Moore told me in April when I last saw her that she didn't need to see me until a year later and I made the appointment.
