Dr. Ellen Patricia Hand, MD

My personal experience today with Dr. Hand is a very good one. I felt at ease discussing medical issues and solutions. I WOULD recommend her as a PCP. Problematic being a part time physician, however.

Dr. Hand is very thorough in my visits to her. She listens with care and concern. She is efficient and studies the situation and facts before she makes any comment. She is friendly and has a ready smile. I would recommend her to anyone.

She is very professional, thorough, and spends time to answer questions. She makes you feel at ease.

I chose Dr. Hand because of her long-term affiliation with Cigna at the Sun City location. Other physicians I have been assigned to stay a year or so and then move on. An immediate appt is sometimes hard to get when you are really ill because she has so many patients...and we have the additonal problem of 'snow birds' invading the area in the winter increasing the number of folks needing to see her. The other issue is that she works 'part time.' Her diagnosis and care, when you can get to see her, is excellent and on the money.
