Following Medical School at Northwestern-Feinberg and Medical Internship at Cook County Hospital, Dr. Roth completed his Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Northwestern-McGaw/Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago(RIC)/NMH. He also completed a Fellowship in Stroke Rehabilitation at Northwestern/RIC. Dr. Roth has been on the faculty of Northwestern-Feinberg and the Medical Staffs of NMH and RIC since 1986 He currently serves as the Paul B. Magnuson Professor and Chair of PM&R at the Medical School, Chairman of Physical Rehabilitation Medicine at NMH and Interim Medical Director of the Traumatic Brain Injury Medicine and Rehabilitation Program at RIC. He holds several Federal grants, in Stroke Rehabilitation, Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation, and Spinal Cord Injury, and he conducts exensive research, teaching and patient care activities. He specializes in the rehabilitation of patients with neurological conditions and older adults.
