Dr. Elyse Paula Erlich, MD

Dr. Erlich is a hidden gem. She is the only reason I make the drive from Chicago to the suburbs, and the ONLY reason I chose to deliver my baby with Northwest Community Hospital instead of Northwestern Prentice Women's Hospital in Chicago. I will follow her anywhere she goes. She is compassionate, efficient, reasonable, and truly uses her brain to make the best decisions. I appreciate that she presents facts and information along with recommendations to me as a patient but ultimately lets me make decisions for myself and be in control of my own health journey. She is pragmatic and supportive and has always been accessible to me as a patient, even outside of scheduled appointments which never feel rushed. During appointments, she discusses any concerns I might have, takes thorough notes, explains everything she's doing before she does it and why, and is very easy and comfortable to communicate with which is so important for women's health. It is obvious she is dedicated to her… field and you can feel that she goes above and beyond for her patients. One big thing that is hard to come by with doctors is trust and follow-through -- if she says she will call you, she makes sure to set aside time during and outside of regular business hours to reach you personally. Of all the doctors I see in various specialties, she is my number 1 top doctor and I drive the distance just to see her because that's how much I trust her brain and bedside manner specifically. There can sometimes be a wait to get on her schedule for a regular check-up due to her popularity with patients, so be prepared to book a little in advance if you have certain day/time restrictions.

Dr. Erlich is, by far, the best doctor I have had over the course of my life. She is brilliant, dedicated, kind, caring, compassionate, and honest. Dr. Erlich is genuinely interested in helping her patients and treats them with kindness and respect. Many doctors are money hungry and proceed with certain procedures or treatments that are unnecessary, but Dr. Erlich is an exception. Due to the personal nature of it, I cannot go into detail--but I will just say that Dr. Erlich is a wonderful human being who is honest and has a loving heart. Dr. Erlich has been my gynecologist for several years, and she also has my mom as a patient. She recently performed an outpatient surgical procedure on me, and she called me that same day to see how I was feeling and if I needed anything. She is so popular and is somewhat difficult to get in to see, but she was willing to stay late one day for an appointment just to accommodate me. In addition to all the wonderful qualities mentioned… previously, Dr. Erlich is also very thorough in her explanations and takes her time to make sure all of your questions are answered. I appreciate Dr. Erlich so much and highly recommend her to anyone who is in search of an exceptional doctor as well as a good human being who truly cares about her patients and their well-being.

I have been a patient of Dr. Erlich for many years. I considered her so good I followed her to 3 different locations during those years. She is an excellent diagnostician, very professional physician and wonderful person.

I've had the pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Erlich for over 9 years in the Northwest suburbs. Over the years I have moved farther away from her practice (over 50 miles) and I continue to see her. Her quality of service and care is impeccable! She truly knows her patients and provides the utmost care for us...which is why I have chosen to stay with her no matter the distance. She is fast and efficient, I have never had such a complete exam in such a short period of time. Doc Erlich tells you exactly what she is doing, how many seconds it will take and why she does it. She is the best gyne I have ever had!

Dr. Erlich has been my Dr for 12 years and I have found her to be so patient and understanding along with what I consider the best care ever! She is very prompt and very thorough each and every time. She also returns phone call questions very fast. I feel very secure in knowing my health is in her hands. Even after 12 years of being her patient her concern or care is still top notch!

She is smart, up to date on medical information, and is very compassionate. She successfully helped me with infertility treatment for my second child.
