Dr. Emanuel Louis Frank, MD

I've been his patient for almost ten years now! I can't explain how much he has helped me through hard times, including severe bouts of depression and even the death of my mother. Upon first glance, he may err on the alternative side but do not let this deter you. He has been nothing but professional and amazing throughout all of these years. I kept wondering, "Why aren't there any pediatric psychiatrists who are interested in more than "only what pharmacology offers"?? (I felt pursuing that was only fair to my child, but I couldn't find any qualified doctors who were doing anything outside a traditional prescription.) If you want to investigate options which are nutritional-based, such as vitamins, herbs or amino acids which can support your child's neurotransmitters (with or w/out pharmaceuticals) - this is the doctor to go to. My son has ADHD, and Dr. Frank not only has a keen knowledge of traditional pharmacology but he has a passion to help you find alternatives to support your child. He is extremely intelligent, has done his research, and can offer options beyond "just taking a pill." That being said, he doesn't judge or knock pharmacology, but he knows that it isn't the whole answer...and can help you discover if your child's needs can be supported more fully. Dr. Frank takes the time to work through each case… compassionately and judiciously. (He is also very good with both parents and kids.) Most highly recommended.
