Dr. Emily Merrell Isaacs, MD

I had the privilege of being treated by Dr. Isaacs for 12 years. Just the all around best care I have experienced. Spectacular staff, and just as reliable and punctual (that's important) as I've had the pleasure of experiencing.

I appreciate Dr. Issacs because she really listens to me. We work as a team to decide on medications and our game plan. She is one of the best doctors I have ever gone to. I moved 6 hours away, and she is definately worth driving back to Fort Worth to see her!

Dr. Isaacs has been my doctor for 22+ years. She accurately diagnosed me when no one else had a clue and immediately begain treating me for RA . I feel very fortunate to have found her because she gave me hope that I could be helped. She is consistent and she is the best.

I have been going to Dr. Isaacs for over 20 years for Rheumatoid Arthritis. It took awhile to get an appointment, but she was referred to me by my knee doctor after several surgeries, so I got on the waiting list. She is an excellent doctor and I feel more at ease with her than any other doctor I have ever gone to. She is truly concerned about my entire well being, not just my RA, and follows my blood work very carefully to be sure there are no problems with my medications. Her staff is very courteous and thorough also. I would and do recommend Dr. Isaacs to anyone who is in need of a rheumatologist. There are not many in my area and I truly believe she is the best by far.

I have been a patient of Dr. Isaacs for a few years now. Prior to seeing Dr. Isaacs I was told great things about her. It took awhile for me to get in to see her but I waited. My first appointment with her she spent a lot of time with me and asked me about my medical history which was a bit complicated. My first impression of Dr. Isaacs's bedside manner was that she was stern, but after having a few more visits with her was friendly and attentive. The staff at her office are also great. Whenever I have called with concerns I always get a call back and the help I needed. The office is very busy so some times there is a wait. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience with Dr. Isaacs.

Dr. Isaacs is rude, has horrible bedside manner. I hate going to doctors, but everyone with RA knows all they have for hope is their Doctor, I literally dreaded going... she told me one time I just had too many issues, I was like I know that is why I am here! I felt bad if I had more than one issue I needed to talk to her about. The remicade nurse was just as rude and dreadful as seeing the dr. She stuck me once 4 times and said I am so sorry honey " First Time she had been sympathetic" so I was nice back and said its ok, I know its not your fault... she followed by saying" OH I KNOW IT WASNT MY FAULT, THAT WAS MORE OF A SYMPATHETIC IM SORRY" Just rude! I think with Dr. Isaacs if you are an old patient of hers she is probably better, but if you are a new patient, young, have RA in more than one joint, she is too busy and rude for you. If you have to get infusions.... good luck that lady is just a Miserable Person!!!

I have heard for years that Dr. Isaacs is the best. But after having seen her for a while now, I don't know what she's the best at. She has been dismissive of my pain, as well as dismissive of the problems I encountered as a possible side effect from a new medication. I waited forever (about 8 months) to get the appointment and I haven't learned much about managing my condition as a result from seeing her. I'm disappointed, but if she's the best, what are the alternatives? I am however, learning how to stick up for myself a bit more as a response to her very rude seeming bedside manner.

Dr. Isaacs is a wonderful doctor. I have lupus/antiphospholip/anticardiolipid syndrome w/ a history of blood clots & hemorage which doesn't always show up on testing. She is very knowledgeable in this field & has never made me feel that I was crazy when testing comes back negative (those of you w/ my condition know what I am talking about here). She understands my fear of blood clotting & tracks anything that could signal this condition is becoming active. She gives me a rx of prednisone w/ the understanding that I will call before using it so she can determine if that is what is needed or if I should get to my family doctor first to RO other problems that could be causing symptoms. Further, she understands my fear of drugs & helps me determine when it is time to use them. She employs a knowledgable staff who are professional & helpful. If you have autoimmune complexes that come and go & have been mistreated by other doctors, you will like & appreciate Dr. Isaacs & her staff.

I've been going to Dr. Isaacs for several years. I've always received excellent care from Dr. Isaacs and excellent treatment from all the staff. I would not see anyone else and trust her implicitly. My condition is managed very well and I feel like I've gotten my life back.
