Dr. Emily Katie Lo, MD

Dr. Lo is an excellent doctor who will prescribe and interpret customized lab results, frequently review you case and provides answers to questions that are both timely and accurate. Could not find a better doc.

She was a disturbing example of impatient indifference when our son saw her for the first time yesterday. She acted as if she not only resented his questions (and fears) but his very presence. She skipped examining the rash he showed her, kept her back to him while he poured his heart out about his biggest health fear and abruptly dismissed his concerns about a low grade fever and persistent sore throat. She had him in and out in under ten minutes, never evincing even a hint of actual interest in him as a person or even clinical interest in him as a patient. We got nothing of value from her except perhaps a good example of contempt for the very people she is supposed to be helping.

She will say that she has no time to hear what you came for!! If she has no time for the patient, I am wondering what she is doing?! I spent all my time answering her questions and when I told her that I have other problems that I want to explain, she said I have no time!! Seriously!!

Defiant attitude, does NOT listen, jumps to conclusions cuts you off when you try to explain/correct her wrong conclusion. She rushed everything, wouldn't let me clarify or explain. I was very pleasant with her for the whole appointment until the end when I just couldn't take her snotty, dismissive attitude any more. Too bad she learned zero compassion or kindness in med school. Kept saying "all doctors in this practice do it this way" which is laughable. She would be the last person on earth that I would consider as a PCP. I left that appointment in tears.
