Dr. Emmeline Dunque Blankenbicker, MD

This doctor has cultural issues in her medical training. I see that she was trained in the Philippines which means they are used to low quality of care. That was very evident when my relative was in the hospital. Blankenbicker didn't know how to treat a serious bedsore and gave orders not to turn my relative the required every 2 hours but instead let my relative lay flat on the bedsore. We removed her from my relative's case. It may sound racist, but american hospitals need to hire american doctors (or those trained in american hospitals). Hiring doctors from foreign countries trained in foreign countries will lead to bad diagnoses and possibly death. They don't know how good medicine works and they give up very readily instead of working with the patient. This was very evident in Blankenbicker. I would not trust her with my bird.

Was in the hospital for several days and Dr. Blankenblicker's group of 'hospitalists' was supposed to be the ones acting as my attending, tying all of the specialists together. She knew nothing about my case or my care plan; I didn't even realize her group's role for a couple days into my stay. I had to place calls and speak directly to the specialists while sitting in the hospital. I finally called hospital admin in to complain. Then when all of the tests were finally done and was otherwise ready to be released, I had low potassium, which they wanted me at 3.5 to leave - this by the way is a check box for the hospital, not some magic health value; they don't care if you're back down to 3 an hour later. So instead of using the full final day I was sitting around to get my potassium up she let me continue on a couple of pills a day wasting my time and a valuable hospital bed. Completely useless, as is the rest of her group, a couple others of whom I met.
