Too reliant on labs instead of reported symptoms - I chose Dr Tan based on his reviews that were better than most. As soon as he entered the room I could tell he did not have a warm or kind bedside manner; he barely looked at me. But I decided if he was a good dr, I could overlook that. However, the appt was rushed, and he clearly was in charge. It was not a give and take conversation, and he did not ask relevant questions about my history or current experiences. He's a strictly traditional dr and only advocates for synthetic medication. He relies heavily on labs while ignoring patient description of symptoms. As such, his office asked me to come in for an appt every 90 days when I needed a refill – unheard of! It’s like they were just trying to get the most money out of the insurance company. My health is stable and not only do I not need labs every 6 months, I don’t need an appt every 90 days. This shows he does not trust his patients nor himself, and it seems like he and Carson… Tahoe only want to make money, not help patients.

Terrible office procedures. They lose lab results, they don't call you to cancel, office staff are snobs.

If I could give this doctor 7 stars I would. Dr. Tan is caring but also an excellent diagnostician. His explanations are thorough and he allows contact by phone and email. He is on top of your treatment and no detail slips by him. Trevor, his office assistant, is personable and efficient also. You are not a number to these men but human beings that are treated with courtesy. Wait time is 5-10 minutes at the most and reminders are given for each appt. and medications. I'm extremely pleased with the medical expertise of Dr. Tan and his office staff person Trevor. They are totally professional while being very personable at the same time.
