Dr. Erfan A Albakri, MD

I have been treated by Dr. Errands Albakri for over 14 years. I feel the utmost confidence in his knowledge and compassion for his patients. I truly feel he cares about my well-being as a patient and as a person. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is a fantastic doctor.

I have seen Dr Albakri since 2006 where he is an attentive doctor to detail. He reviews with me my records so that I understand the full scope. Out of all of the neurologists I can chose, I have chosen to remain with him because of these attributes.

If you need to see a Neurologist in my opinion he’s the best out there. I could go on and on about the fantastic things he did and still doing for me but I won’t. I give him a full 5 stars rating and wish I could give 10x more. Thanks Doc for everything. Nick.

Dr. Albakri has been my doctor for the last 11 years. He monitors and performs test on me twice a year. Orders CT, MRA when needed . I hope this review has a 10 star instead of the 5 stars usually provided. Dr. Albakri is very thorough and answers any questions you or a caretaker my have. Sometimes you might have to wait 10 or 15 minutes but that's because he gives every patient the time required and needed for their appointment. I was just there about a week ago when another patient started talking with me. Before I knew it, everyone in the waiting room was talking about their issues and everyone of us only had good things to say about our Dr. Awesome, AKA Dr. Albakri. It was kind of a therapy class. A class that's never happened before, but one that was needed by all of us . Dr. Albakri is my nero-vascular doctor, a specialist. But to me, he's my #1 doctor out of many that I've had since 2004. Thank You Dr. Albakri for all that you've done for me in the 11 years I've been with him.

I’ve been seeing Dr. albakri for over two years. He is thorough, competent, professional, kind, understanding and a great listener. I am seeing him for many health problems and he is taking excellent care of me. I trust him; he is putting my best interest first. He spends time explaining medical terms and procedures to me. He wants to know me. I’m very thankful that Dr. Albakri is my doctor.

I was miss diagnosed!!! The Doctor never returned multiple phone calls. His office is a disgrace to the medical profession. I have been trying for several months to get a copy of my Fl Mylogram. They have sent me copies of my EMG and other worthless. Today I was told they don't have a copy in the office and neither does Tampa General. reports Since my last visit, my left arm has become paralyzed and my right is fading fast. I have lost over 25 pounds of muscle. I hope this guy likes law suites!!!!

Due to office policy, I had to have my mother primary care office faxed in referral several times. First 2 times they claimed they never received it , the girl I talked to said she will go into “folder” and pull her info out . After few days , I called back , they have no infor about her , and demanded me to call primary care office have them give me fax confirm . Seems like the policy prevents them making a simple phone call to obtain information helping patient out . Finally , primary care office left me message that they called talked confirmed referral has been received. 2 days passed , I called back and they girl asked me why call when I have the confirm from primary care office already ?? ( i wanted to tell her that b/c you have tendency not to follow up with customer to let them know if you receive/ not receive fax). I told her that I was expecting phone call for scheduling . she went on about how the doctor will evaluate the patient and that they receive about 60 referral per… day , and now its 3 weeks out , basically they have lot of business . I gave up, told her to cross out my mother’ name . I’m sure it was the same girl I’ve talking to everytime I call because she didnt even ask for my mother’s info to take note . It is a foreign name . I guess she hold a grudge on me for telling her to do better at her job . Terrible attitude !

This doctor provided me with a helpful pain medication and did a number of tests but could not identify the underlying issue causing the pain; I got the impression that he did not read the test results prior to entering the room so it did not feel like he had an informed opinion when he came in to meet with me; he also was late coming to appointments. I would hesitate to go back to him.

I cannot get an appointment with Dr. Albakri due to the fact that my spinal cord injury is related to a car accident over 4 years ago. I explained that there is no pending law suit from my injury but that I am in pain and symptoms are getting worse. I was told that, due to me saying “car accident”, Dr. Albakri will not see me. When did doctors stop caring about people’s pain and care more about money and insurance. I have medical insurance, I have every expectation of paying my medical bills. How dare this practice turn me away due to putting me in a specific class of people. If anyone is reading this review and considering Dr. Albakri, make sure you do not mention a car accident. I guess you have to lie and say you fell down steps.
