Dr. Eric Joseph Ashman, MD

I see him every 6 months for a seizure disorder and I’ve never had a specialist spend as much time with me as he does, asking questions and trying to get the full picture. He’s fantastic.

Terrible person, let alone doctor. Yelled & screamed at me,. Have never been treateted like this by a doctor. Very unprofessional.

He was rude & condescending. Told me I worried too much about my health & that my family med history had nothing to do with my health. Had me in tears. A horrible person.

Like every neurologist I have met, he has the same nonhumorous personality. I have met a few. This does not distract from his competence in anyway. He is very knowledgeable in the area of sleep disorders and seizures. His knowledge of available medications is wonderful and he works very well with my family physician. He is great at explaining options and treatment plans at different. He can adjust how he explains things to match the knowledge level of his patients. I was a paramedic and when I informed him of this he changed his language to match my medical knowledge level. He is very willing to let you adjust times of medication and will notake you feel like he is the dictator of your treatment plan but more like you are part of his team. I would recommend Dr. Ashman to friends and family.

Spent more time with me than any other previous specialist has. Explains things in regular language.

Referred to Dr Ashman because of strange episode. He listened to me carefully, asked questions to get more details- often unusual in specialty doctors. He was friendly, easy to talk to- I appreciated his puttring me at ease and being respectful. This is how all doctors should treat their patients.

His bed side maner stunk.
