Dr. Eric Justin Brahin, MD

Please do not waste your time on this doctor he does not care to give you Med refills and even when you get your blood drawn he making excuses why something is wrong with it like they didn’t take your blood right.. Front desk is horrible rude does not care about your feelings or anything to do with you. The only one in this office who is sweet is nurse Rosie who can’t do anything without doc approval. Also he tries to see you all the time to eat up your insurance this is the worst doctor I’ve ever seen in my life

It was our first time to see a neurologist. I was taking my sister-in-law and brother-in-law to have him tested and receive more information about dementia. When the doctor first walked in he quickly directed his attention at my brother who had a bit of difficulty expressing himself. Brahin didn't give him the respect or dignity to listen to him finish his sentences. Then after one or two questions directed at the patient he turns his attention towards my sister-in-law and I. He begins to ask me some really private questions about his behavior that I wasn't comfortable answering in front of my brother-in-law who is already confused for being at a neurologist. He bombards me with more questions and I broke down in tears because I know my brother-in-law was listening. He didn't even give my brother-in-law the dignity to answer anymore questions. He went on and on talking about my brother-in-law's diagnosis and all the negative things about dementia (Alzheimer's disease) as if my… brother-in-law wasn't there. My brother-in-law has had several strokes I know from poor nutrition and forgetting to take his medication and has declined the last 4 months not remembering to take his medicine, showering, and forgetting names. I wasn't impressed with this doctor's way of treating a patient who is already struggling with cognitive functions and talking as if my brother-in-law wasn't in the room. If I could give him no stars I would but that isn't the option. It's disappointing that he even said that he would call in a medicine for my brother-in-law that would probably not benefit him. Wow, as if we had money to throw away on medicines that would not benefit him. He even said in a loud voice he shouldn't be living alone and isn't qualified to be in a nursing care he can't take care of himself. We know that but really could you find some bed side manners. Where did you learn how to deliver sensitive information telling patients there is no hope and it's a decline for you. It's sad because you have to empathize with the people who are the caregivers. I should have paid attention to the ratings on google but my brother-in-law was referred by his diabetic doctor and has medicare. Imagine that I drove 4 hours to be given the same information that his general practitioner and doctors at the hospital already confirmed. Don't go to this doctor even if he is the only doctor in San Antonio. Your loved one will not be treated with dignity when being asked questions.

Very friendly staff and great place to go! They take GOOD care of their patients!

45 plus minutes past scheduled appointment to be seen consistently at every visit. Office staff are unprofessional, rude, incompetent and bedside manner is appalling. There communication with patients is abysmal in regards to appointment reminders or trying to get forms/paperwork and other things taken care of. The doctor talks like an auctioneer to get the appointment over with as fast as possible, doesn't listen or hear your thoughts on anything. He is arrogant and not cordial in the least. Save your time and find elsewhere who will treat you as a person and want to help you or family with whatever you suffer with.

Went in for consultation today, first time meeting him. Travelled 2 plus hours to this appointment. Only to be asked why are you here? Is it because of your MRI? I could’ve called you on the phone and your problem is your psychiatric illness, that’s YOUR HANDICAP, that’s YOUR CANCER! I’m still in shock that a Dr would even tell a patient being bipolar is a handicap or compare it to cancer! Good thing I have a huge support system that loves me and helps me when I have bad days but I am positive it is not a handicap and it will not stop me from achieving all my dreams. This guy was rude, arrogant, conceited and had the worst bed side manners I’ve ever encountered. Too bad I had to put a one star, didn’t give me the option of putting a negative star somewhere.

My experience was disappointing to say the least. Why make an appointment when they make you wait almost an hour to be seen. Then the nurse makes excuses that she is the only nurse there. The medical secretaries were not professional, ignoring, rude and slow. The office itself could be updated. Dr. Brahin was good and thorough but he also let's you know he is. He tends to brag on his accomplishments. Which was a turn off.

The wait is long then he sees you only 5min but the lady in the front is the worst and rudest person I have ever met.

My doctor referred me to Dr. Brahin. My first call to make an appointment I was placed on hold for 15+ minutes before I gave up. A couple of days later I called with no answer, after going to voice mail and leaving my info I never received a call back. Tried a third time leaving my info with my call back number with return call again. Not sure about Dr. Brahin, but his staff definitely SUCKS!

Dr told me he couldn’t go over my mri with me because it would crash his computer?!?!? Either He thought I was an idiot or He was.
