Dr. Eric Lionnel Mizrahi, MD

As my FAA medical doctor, he told me his job isn’t to ground me but to help keep me flying! His trademark diagnostic hug at the end of each visit surprised me the first time!

This guy gave me a 35 minute lecture on how smoking pot is a terrible thing, and causing my brain to shut down. Trouble is I dont marijuana consistently. I made the mistake of saying I smoked a month before.Scheduled an emergency follow up with my old doctor for bloodwork and after 3 hours and a long headache found out I'm fine, just need to watch my blood pressure and continue my anxiety meds. He never asked for my history of anxiety, never asked about family history, never even asked if there was anything to trigger an event. This guy then had the audacity to tell me he didn't need my money he was just telling the truth. No bloodwork, no test, just pure illusion because of me being honest with a doctor. Then he hugged me to finish off the session.Oh and the guy wanted to stage an intervention with my parents and psychiatrist. I'm 23.

He really spent a lot of time and during my visit he even called a surgeon to get a second opinion right in front of me.

Dr. Mizrahi has some great speeches and some great ideals and ideas. The problem is that they're amazingly rehearsed and repeated. He gave me a few diagnoses going against my better judgement and sat me down and gave me a long spiel about why his judgements were the best. I agreed with him and followed along. Every time I would protest later though he would sit me down and give me the word for word speech about how he was an Air Force Doctor and couldn't give drugs and etc etc, no matter when I told him that the different approaches weren't working. It ultimately became to frustrating to continue going to someone that only had a facade of actually paying attention to my cares when in fact all he was doing was going with what he thought worked no matter what

Dr. Mizrahi is the most caring professional I have ever come into contact with.

When I saw the doctor about my health problems on our first and only visit, he did not listen well, told me my sickness was because of my attitude, and refused to exam me or prescribe any medicine. He asked about my marriage, and talked about his own saying how his wife complained no matter how hard he worked, etc. Both of which were inapproriate and irrelovent. Overall I thought he was rude, dislikes women accusing them of causing the problems in a relationship, and told me I should fix my problems if I wanted to get better. I left feeling degraded and crying.

This doctor saw me for CVS (which he did not believe in & would not even LOOK at MD research facts!) This is a syndrome new to the MD world (like HIV once was). I went to his office for another doctor who had him take over (because he is GI, I was vomiting & needed Zofran which he had). After some IV fluids & anti-nausea meds I was still vomiting & in extreme pain. He told me it was in my head... He said that I would be better w/the meds he gave me. He said that I was "doing it to myself, like a tick" that I was making myself sick. I would avoid this doctor if you want ANY respect, empathy or, real care. He acts like he is a God & when his treatment fails, he blames it on the patient's psychological health.

So many doctors seem to treat you as a statistic and try to get you out asap. This is NOT what Dr. Mizrahi is like. He actually cares about your overall health and not just the immediate symptoms..he even gave me some relationship advice on my long time overseas gf. Simple things like asking me what my day is comprised of in order to try and cite where my high blood pressure is coming from are the small things that most dr.s don't do- but are appreciated. He even has a diet plan to shed weight that he uses himself. 4 Stars outright.

There is no better, caring, professional, insightful Doctor in the State of California, and probably the world. He is an absolute gift to medicine!

Dr. mizrahi is a gift. I have lost 60 lbs, simply because I got lucky and found out about him. A caring, nurturing, real, and passionate MD, who is here to make a difference in this crazy world of medicine. This doctor is one in a million.
