Dr. Eric Thomas Overdorf, MD

Very blunt, very rough. Neither attributes are good for an OB/GYN

He's the best gynecologist that I've seen in decades, since my original one retired.

He is a really good doctor but expect a long wait in the waiting room, average wait time can be 1 to 2 hour wait. You must be on time even though you will wait that long to be seen then wait another 20 mins in a room for a short 10-20 minute visit with the doctor. He has always answered any questions and concerns, I would recommend him to anyone but be warned of a long wait time to be seen for your appointment.

Arrive 15 minutes late, even after calling ahead and they won't see you. Arrive 15 minutes early and you still wait well over an hour just to be called back, then wait another 30 minutes for the Doctor. Better clear your WHOLE day for a 15 minute visit with the Doctor. But he is great...and the girls in the office are very nice and helpful. But seriously, 2-3 hours is pretty normal.

I moved from North Carolina to Ohio when I was in my 7th month of my first pregnancy. I had no health insurance since my husband had just recently gotten out of the military and Dr.Overdorf was still willing to take me on as a patient. He was so caring and friendly with me that he made me feel totally at ease. I was scheduled for an induction on the 7th of Sept. and he was in my room within an hr of my arrival to walk me through the process. He was very busy that day with other surgeries but still made a point to either come into my room every hour or call up to check on my progress. I had some difficulties pushing my daughter out because she was almost 10 lbs..he was very patient with me. He thought he would have to do a c-section which I was against so he decided to try forceps instead. He delivered my baby with ease and she is absolutely wonderful. He constantly checked on us while I was recovering and was thrilled when I asked him to pose for pictures with my daughter. The next day… was a very busy day for all the OB's because several women went into labor at the same time..he still made a point of checking in on me and seeing how my recovery was going. I will never go to another doctor as long as he is here! He is so wonderful!!

I started going to Dr. Overdorf about a year and a half ago when I moved to Lancaster. I had just found out I was pregnant, and was still seeing a doctor from my home town, which was 2 hours away. Was having some terrible pain in my right side, that I knew wasn't normal. I let it go on for about a week before I went to the ER in Lancaster. (this was at 1 a.m.) I was told by the ER doc that the pregnancy was a tubal, and my tube had stretched so much that I was bleeding internally and had to have surgery right away. I said, fine, but I was going to drive back to Cambridge and see MY doctor. The ER doc insisted that I would not survive the drive, and thats when he brought in Dr. Overdorf. Right from the start, he was very caring and sympathetic with my situation. Waking up from surgery at 3 am, Dr. Overdorf was right by my side telling me that everything went well. 2 days later I had a follow up visit at his office where He spent at least an hour listening to me sob and going over… different options with me. He is now MY doctor, and I wouldn't go to anyone else!!The man saved my life. Plain and simple. I would reccommend him to ANYONE.

dr overdorf is a very good dr.his bedside manners are good and he treats his patients with respect.you could not ask for a better dr than dr overdorf

Dr.Overdorf is by far the best doctor ever! never once have i had any problems with him or staff..my husband and i went to Dr.Overdorf when i found out i was pregnant with my first baby i was seing a different doctor at the beginning and switched to Dr.Overodorf i ended up having a miscarriag but that was nothing to do him.. i was in the process of having it when i swiched to him..i got pregnat again a few months later and went back to him.i was so amazing took reeally good care of me while i was his patient. ALso him and his staff where by far the kindest people we have EVER met! they didn't only did they talk to me but anything my husband had to ask they had no problem helping him with an answer..being new parents we had alot of questions..lol my son is finally here and so perfect! My husband and i are going to miss going in to see Dr.Overdorf and his wonderful staff=(

I really i like this doctor!! He is very professional and caring in his patients. I would most definitely recommend him to any of my friends, family. In fact one of my family members is also patient of his as well! also my soon to be sister in laws grandma had him for a different reason.
