Dr. Eric Semeko, MD

From the beginning to the now end, my experience with Dr. Semeko hasn’t been great. Happy now that I have a Doc who is willing to give me more than 15 minutes for my money

I had been dealing with anxiety and insomnia for years and had been working with a doctor who had been amazing in finding the right treatment plan. Unfortunately, she retired and I needed a new doctor. I was referred to Dr. Semeko by my insurance and regret it. I felt comfortable at first when he told me we wouldn't be making any changes to my previous doctor's plans as he said it had been working and there was no need to change it. However, over the course of a few months, each session, he would start tweaking my treatment despite my objections. He would prescribe medications that I said caused awful side effects for me because "if another doctor saw his treatment plan, it had to make sense." After a lot of sleepless nights and my anxiety spiking back to where it was years ago, I had to keep calling his office to change my treatment back to where it resembled close to what it had been. The final straw was the consistent changing of appointments. Scheduling three months in… advance allowed me to take the time off at work. However, it wasn't unusual for appointments to get cancelled the week of, day of, or to show up at the office and him to be gone. Sometimes I would get called and ask if I could show up two hours early. It was embarrassing not only for my boss to notice the change in my behavior due to the spike in my anxiety, but to say I had four doctors appointments three weeks had my boss constantly asking if everything was ok. The only reason I kept going back to Dr. Semeko was because of the money invested. Doctors in this field have such a high initial consultation fee to prevent "dr shopping" that it neglects the fact that if you don't click with the doctor, you're down $450 for the appointment and another $450 for your next.

Thank heaven for Dr. Semeko. I was going thru withdrawal from a prescription drug and had been suffering panic attacks and hallucinations. I had been hospitalized and then found Dr. S! He has taken care of me for 6 months and I do not know what would have happened if we had not found him!

Excellent Psychiatrist. I am very happy with my treatment plan.

Amazing man! Would highly recommend. (Cute, too!)
