Dr. Erica Nicole Campbell

Very unprofessional.

Last month, I made an appointment with Dr. Campbell for tomorrow at 11:30am for my 91 yr old mother. I checked in per my email instructions, answered all of the questions, and printed out all of the paper work. I took the day off to drive down from PA to take my mother to her scheduled appointment. Today at 4:30pm when the office was closing, I received a phone call from the office telling me that my mother's appointment was cancelled because Dr. Campbell didn't want to take any new patients, although her website said she was indeed taking new patients. Inova's Customer Service Representative thought this was very unprofessional, unacceptable treatment from her office, but was unable to contact them because their office was closed. On their website it says that you need to give them 24 hours if cancelling an appointment, but yet they did not afford me that same respect. I am very disappointed in Dr. Campbell and her office's behavior.

Dr. Campbell was highly recommended to me by my colleague. I am thoroughly impressed. She was caring and concerned, friendly while maintaining professional and efficient standards of service. I very thankful for the excellent care I received.

Dr. Campbell is an exceptional physician with the skill and patience required of a geriatric physician. She has great communication skills especially when it came to speaking and listening to me. The way in which she physician communicated information to me ws just as important as the information being communicated. She is a Geriatric Physician with a sincere desire to practice medicine and a genuine passion in helping others. Passion is a trait that will sets her apart from being the ordinary doctor to being my “favorite doctor.” She is forthright, professional, respectful, and above all else, knowledgeable. I have no doubt whatsoever that crossing paths with Dr. Campbell has improved my quality of life as I grow older. I am sad that my time in Alexandria, Virginia came to an end result our relocation elsewhere. I can only pray that I come across another geriatric physician who rivals Dr. Campbell's qualities. Went to see this doctor for my yearly wellness check up which is paid by Medicare. I informed the office when I arrived that the purpose of my visit was a wellness check up . They coded the visit differently and Medicare would not pay. They wanted to charge me $405 which I argued because the visit would have been paid by Medicare had they coded it correctly. They then sent me to a collection agency and the doctor refused to cooperate or change the coding to a wellness checkup. I would never go here again and I do not recommend this doctor or Inova.

When I explained to the office that they had mis-coded the services and that I get this check up every year, Dr. Campbell refused to change to coding. Instead I was sent to a collection agency who is forcing me to pay out of pocket, although I am retired and on a tight budget. I would NEVER go back to this doctor, nor would I ever recommend her or Inova. Once you leave her office, that's it.
