Dr. Ernest Bernard Visconti, MD

Dr. Visconti is the most humble, sincere, brilliant, caring, and thoughtful professional I have ever met. To add to that, Dr Visconti saved my life. I went to several different endocrinologists in Staten Island and Manhattan who didn't take my symptoms of losing hair, extreme lethargy, and gaining weight for no reason seriously. I told Dr. Visconti (who is my Lyme's disease doctor) my symptoms and Instead of blowing me off and blaming it on the lymes like the other doctors did, he had me go for tests on my thyroid. Turns out I had cancer. Dr. Visconti is a highly respected world renowned pediatrician an infectious disease specialist. Endocrinology isn't even his field, but he listened and took my complaints seriously!! In any event, he's my hero and I am grateful everyday to have found him.

I went undiagnosed with Lyme disease for about 10 years. Most of the medical community doesn’t believe in the severity or the disabilities and complications of Lyme. Not only is Dr. Visconti knowledge, kind, encouraging and compassionate, he appealed my insurance company’s denial for my treatment. He even calls during his off hours to check on me when I’m really sick. His staff is also AMAZING!

Upon my arrival the staff was quite friendly. Dr. Visconti referred me to a staff member named Angela. She was quite proficient in handling my IV infusion treatmemt. She was was bright knowledgeable and heartfelt. I went to many doctors and no one compared to Dr. Visconti. No other doctor was able to diagnose my issues but he was able to diagnose my lyme disease. Im truly thankful.

I am so pleased I drove the 2 hours to see him for my two children, as it was the most worthwhile pediatrician visit I’ve ever had for my kids. He has wonderful bedside manner and is knowledgeable.

He’s the best! My son has been going to him for a while now and if it wasn’t for him my son would still be suffering from acid reflux that another doc dismissed as asthma! If it wasn’t for dr Visconti my son wouldn’t be better. They need more docs like him! He listens and if he feels it’s not right he’ll send you to someone who can help.

I have been battling an illness for months that a previous dr wasn’t following up with. I went to see Dr Visconti after seeing other reviews about Lyme disease and like illnesses and I am very happy I did. Not only did he test for many different things but he actually discovered exactly what was troubling me. I’m a nurse and even I had never heard of it. Had it not been for him I’d still be suffering and struggling but now, with treatment, I know I’ll be ok. He gives his personal phone number and promptly returns calls. His staff are very personable and professional. He is truly the best and I couldn’t be more thankful for having met him.

Dr. Visconti is amazing. We went to so many doctors with our daughter and no doctor diagnosed her. Dr. Visconti went above and beyond to properly diagnose and treat our daughter. She had tick-born illnesses (co-infections). He noticed issues and sent her to other specialists and it turned out his instincts were spot-on. We are so utterly grateful.

Dr. Visconti has been my doctor for over 10 years. He is the most thorough doctor I have ever been to (and I have been to a lot of doctors!) Yes, there is often a long wait in his office, but I would wait 10 hours to see him if I had to because he knows his stuff. If you are looking for a compassionate and friendly doctor who is the most thorough there is, Dr. Visconti is your guy!

Do not allow this very nice man to convince you that you have lymes disease or cat scratch fever with a negative blood test result. He convinced me I had both with negative results. I sought a 2nd opinion and was told that those 2 diagnoses were his standard diagnoses. It’s terrible. You can become resistant to the mega antibiotics he prescribes. If you’re a hypochondriac this is your man.
