Dr. Ernesto A Godoy-Romero, MD

Dr. Godoy is very patient with me and always answers the list of questions I have for him when I come in. I had many problems this winter with being ill and had to reschedule many times. His nursing staff followed up with me when I called in and always called me back. My husband was very pleased when he took me for my colonoscopy with Dr. Godoy's bedside manner. I would highly recommend him.

Didn't tell me to come back. And didn't tell,me what medicine to take for my condition

Yes. Most definetly. I told him that when I get a colonoscopy I never know what he says. Because in the past he tells the family member that takes me. To my surprise when I opened up my eyes he was right there. Next to me. Dr. Godoy explained everything in great detail. I really appreciated his words and confidence. Great Dr. and person.

I had a great experience with Dr. Godoy and his nurse staff. I went to his office for rectum bleeding and I was very scared about why that was happening. He was with me for about a full hour (not very common with most American physicians) and explained everything in detail (symptoms, possible reasons and the need for a colonoscopy). He was also about to leave on Vacation, but he offered to squeeze me in the schedule and do my procedure before he left, which was very accommodating. I've never had a colonoscopy before and when the day came, I was very calm and more confident that everything would be ok, the procedure was easy and thankfully results came out fine, nothing serious. Dr. Godoy truly is a wonderful and experienced Doctor and I would recommend him to anyone at anytime! Insurance: Blue Cross / Blue Shield

Exceptional Doctor

Dr. Godoy is very demeaning. He has absolutely no bedside manner. He made me feel as though I was bothering him, when I was there to have a colonoscopy. I am changing doctors and for that matter will have no more to do with Dreyer Clinic. I heard from one of the nurses that once, Dr. Godoy was doing a colonoscopy on a patient who started to code and while a code blue was being called, he kept on with the colonoscopy while staff were reviving the patient. What type of clinic puts up with this stuff?

I have been going to Dr. Godoy for years and have been relatively satisfied until my recent hospital stay. Dr. Godoy admitted me the day after Christmas after my colotis had been flared up for 1 1/2 months. Having experienced this many times, I was in bad shape. My second day in the hospital, another doctor came to see me. When I asked where Dr. Godoy was he said on vacation for three weeks. I couldn't believe that the Doctor didn't tell me that he was going on vacation so that we could develop a care plan while I was in the hospital and after I was released. Without any notification, he left me in the care of another doctor who I've never seen. I'm out of the hospital now (though still not doing well) and looking for a new doctor.

i've been to numerous doctors. We've not found the problem yet, but he's the first doctor to actually want to try to find it. Other doctors just tried to give me a pill to cover up symptoms. So far, I'm very happy with him!!
