Dr. Ernesto Jose Millan, MD

We absolutely love Dr. Millan. He is the reason our daughter can live a happy and healthy life. Thanks to him researching medications that would best fit our daughter for her condition, she is able to live her life to the fullest without worry. Every visit with him is informative, constructive and enlightening. His office environment, demeanor and bedside manner are comforting and relaxing. I'm a mother of 7 kids. I have a Chiari malformation. My 4 youngest kids also have symptomatic Chiari malformations. I have a very large area of brain damage that affects my memory and mental input. As a result, I put every appointment in my phone as I'm on the phone making the appt. First, I had to leave 3 messages to get a callback for an appointment. I accidentally put my daughter's 1st appt for Thursday, but a week later than the scheduled appt. This was to be our 1st appt with the doctor. The receptionist who called to ask where we were today was rude, condescending and said she's going to have to charge me for that missed 1st appt. Do you think I'm going to go in to see the doctor now, knowing that I owe God-knows-how-much for an appt with a doctor I've never seen. How about a 1-time warning. This isn't characteristic of me to miss an appt and I was polite and apologized. I wasn't given the chance to explain that I have moment-to-moment brain damage and that I'd not let it… happen again. I was slammed by the receptionist telling me I owed money already and "Would you like to reschedule?" Um, no. This doctor missed out on four patients as my triplets and one of my older kids has a Chiari malformation. I've had 2 brain surgeries and will likely have a 3rd. My father also has one. There's a strong chance that my kids will need surgery, too. The receptionist lost the practice 4 patients with her rude, condescending demeanor. And any doctor who charges patients he's never seen is no doctor I would want even touching my children. Ever. Whatever happened to one-chance rules, compassion and courtesy.

Dr. Millan is very thorough and nice. He is recommended also by my child's pediatrician!
