Dr. Erol Andrew Yoldas, MD

WARNING-This doctor will NOT DEAL with a complication after surgery! PLEASE READ: I spent 5 WEEKS OF PAIN calling the office and complaining about the most severe pain that came 1 week after surgery. I told Yoldas’s nurse over and over I felt like a tendon or tissue or a muscle was getting “CAUGHT” on a razor sharp nailhead and sliced. In addition, there was clicking, popping, grinding and snapping pain. Yoldas treated me by phone through his message nurse for 5 weeks and did not see me. After 5 weeks, he ran out of suggestions and sees me. He blames the pain on SCAR TISSUE. He states a cortisone injection is the answer. I asked what would happen if I held off a little longer since I knew it reduced the healing rate. He stated, “THEN YOU CAN’T COME BACK AND COMPLAIN TO ME”. I felt bullied into getting it. I braced for an unexpectedly scream or movement and he said, “Aren’t we adults in this room?” Before I leave he tells me I must “work through” the therapy pain! He does NOT give me… another appointment. By now, I have been seeking a 2nd opinion but doctors will not see my neglected problem within 4-5 months after Yoldas did my surgery. The cortisone did nothing so I call and the message nurse and I start all over again with the same suggestions via Yoldas. My therapist is very concerned and calls Yoldas to discuss my severe pain and an impingement. Two weeks later Yoldas returns his call. Now Yoldas HAS to see me and discusses an MRI. He is adamant the pain is from SCAR TISSUE. He states the MRI will be “obscured”. He gives me a childish example of seeing out of an obscured window and trying to see a red truck go by. AREN’T WE ADULTS? Then he said, “When this type of pain happens in other counties, like Sweden, they do nothing.” I’m in the US, in pain, and don’t care what other counties do! My husband and I leave in disgust with his asinine statements. His message nurse calls with my MRI results and says an ANCHOR HAS BACKED OUT OF THE BONE!!! The results agree with my months of horrific pain and I finally know I’m right and not crazy and Yoldas has been totally wrong! She says Yoldas does not need to see or speak to me therefore I should book my 2nd surgery for the following week where they have an opening. I have suffered for almost 4 months! I get my records and never return. I found a young doctor eager to help. She reviews the MRI disc and sees BOTH ANCHORS BACKED OUT and the exam shows I have developed a frozen shoulder. She wants to do surgery ASAP but knows Yoldas did the unnecessary cortisone injection 2 months prior. Now I must wait 1 more month for surgery since there is a higher risk of infection if surgery is preformed within 3 months of the injection. Yoldas was willing to do it the following week! I always research my new doctors but now realize I need to pay closer attention to the 5 star review dates. I think some doctors get washed up and lose interest as time goes on. I wen in to see Dr Yoldas for a pain in my shoulder where i went before for and it was taken care of, it,s been about a year and it hurting just a lil bit so i,m getting a MRI to solve the problem, I don,t i could have ask for a more caring Dr, and his staff is out of the world being friendly and professional,every time I call or see them in person lewis dames

Dr. Yoldas and his staff deserve 6 stars. I have never met a more professional and nice doctor. He did an excellent job with my meniscus tear surgery and I can honestly say I am feeling much better and able to walk again. His staff in his office and in the hospital where the surgery was performed, couldn't have been any more nicer. You will not be disappointed with Dr. Yoldas and his whole entire staff. ****** Plus there is a bonus, the minute you walk into his office, they take you immediately! No wait time!

I highly recommend Dr. Yoldas and his entire staff. From diagnosis, to surgery, to physical therapy, they all exceeded my expectations. Without hesitation, I would recommend Dr. Yoldas.

I just want to thank the Doc for explaining my injury very clearly and my options. Surgery went well and so did therapy with Aaron Santiso. I was back to work sooner than expected ( as an old school hand painting sign painter) and back to playing my favorite sport (Ice Hockey as a 61 year old). As my Italian Grampa Teeto would say...You got a Gift My Friend....Thank You!!!!

Dr. Yoldas took care of my labral tear. His office was first class. They all had smiles on their faces and he was very professional. I highly recommend Dr. Yoldas.

My first apt with Dr. Yoldas went very well, he was very professional and went over my options, after having an mri I was told I needed surgery to repair a total tear in my rotator cuff. I had the surgery and went to see Dr. Yoldas afew days later. He told me everything went well and showed me an X-ray of what he did, told me to start therapy in afew days. The first day of therapy the therapist noticed I had a large biecept! She said it was not normal and was concerned, told me to contact the Dr. I did and when I went for the apt,I didn’t see Dr. Yoldas, the girl I saw just said to wrap it with an ace bandage, that it will be fine! I kept going to therapy and my therapist was still concerned! I went back twice to see Dr. Yoldas and he also said it was fine! He sold me a sleve and said it would help. Well it has been just about a year since my surgery and I have a large Popeye muscle that cramps up throughout everyday!! Dr Yoldas knows what it is and he has to know what caused it!! I… am Very disappointed in Dr. Yoldas!! He should have said what happened the very first time I went back after surgery!! Now I’m stuck with a Popeye muscle that cramps and limits my strength in the arm! I really wish he would have said what it was in the beginning! I’m very Disapointed in Dr. Yoldas!!!!!!!!

He told my 63 years old wife that she needed surgery to repair an acl...upon further consultations with other Drs, we were clearly advised that such a surgery is not recommende on a person older than 35 much less on a 63....very dissapointe

H is arrogance got in the way of ever actually finding where the problem is coming from

My entire experience with Doctor Yoldas and his staff has been exceptional. I was referred by a former Chief of Staff at Broward General Hospital who had been operated on by Doctor Yoldas. This Doctor could have had anyone in the Country operate and he chose Dr. Yoldas. His recommendation was a life saver, I was correctly diagnosed and despite another Doctor thinking surgery he said it was not required. I am happy to say 5 weeks later after intensive physical therapy I am walking and riding a bike. The Woman in the office are always there to help and make me smile every time I walk in. Thanks to Dr. Yoldas and his staff I got through my ordeal quickly and pleasantly.
