Dr. Eugene J Rankin, PhD

This doctor is a joke. My daughter was having focusing problems and OCD interfering with her completing her Microbiology degree at USF. She has six courses before completion. He sole to her and me for 5 min.s and said she would never be able to finish her degree, he could not help her. Then he says that she needs a psychiatrist, but they, probably couldn’t help her either. We both left his office more depresses and damaged than when we arrived. It had taken me years just to get my daughter to go seek help and it was wasted on this clown. Who talks to a patient and her mom like this??

Dr. Rankin is completely unprofessional and has no respect for his patients. He has referred to patients as "crazy" on several occasions, and has no empathy. Please do not take your loved ones here, especially if they are mentally impaired, as I whole-heartedly distrust Dr. Rankin. He allows unqualified staff members to test his patients unsupervised, and then bills insurance as though he had completed the evaluations himself. Further, when I was there he mentioned he had guns in his office. Do you want to be the patient with a frontal lobe injury and impulsivity issues who gets shot because Dr. Rankin is paranoid? I didn't think so. Please stay far away from this unethical and inconsiderate doctor.
