Dr. Evan Scott Fischer, MD

Urgent care sent me to Evan Fischer to surgically remove my finger nail. He refused to treat me and sent me to emergency room at hospital despite having already been to less expensive urgent care. The hospital sent me to his partner hand specialist who treated me the same morning. It was a waste of time having to go to the hospital or two hand specialists the same morning. My extra out of pocket costs for his not treating me and sending me to the emergency room is nearly three thousand extra dollars. That does not include the urgent care and actual treatment by the other surgeon.

I had a very good experience. Dr. Fischer was very knowledgable. He was able to help me without surgery.

EXCELLENT!!!!! I have seen him twice so far for both my left and right hand and he's done a FANTASTIC JOB both times!!! I have no idea why everyone doesn't leave him 5-stars. He is super professional, knowledgeable and talented. Just had finger surgery with him and everything was perfect. I completely trust him. I saw 3 different Doctors about my surgery before choosing him, highly recommend. He is an incredible Dr!!!!

Saw him for problems with my elbow but he couldn't find anything wrong after two EMG's. Went to another doctor who preformed a decompression of ulnar nerve in my elbow. A waste of time and money.

Rude, and condescending. Has no patience with the elderly.

After taking a bad fall and needing hand surgery Mountainside Hospital recommended Dr. Fischer. They contacted him in the middle of the night and he made his recommendations on how to proceed....fast forward...Dr. Fischer performed hand surgery and all went well!!! He is the best hand surgeon around and I already referred 2 people in a week! I want to thank him for taking care of my hand/finger.

Dr. Ignored my pain and stated he couldn't assist me even though i had a tear and cysts.

I went to this doctor as a referral from my primary's medical group for a ganglion cyst on my wrist which had been drained 3 years ago by a different doctor who was no longer in my insurance. I arrived and explained the situation with a copy of my scan already in hand. He decided to drain it then and there with absolutely NOTHING to numb the area. After forcing the needle in and extracting a little of the flid, I told him it was very painful. He just stopped and said, that'll do for now. Here I am just a couple of months later and the cyst has grown significantly which had NOT happened the first time around. I later received a bill for $300 for this half his half done job! AVOID THIS DOCTOR!!!

An absolutely amazing doctor. If ever I felt like I had a personal doctor who had no other patients but our family, Dr. Fischer was the one. Treated an emergency situation out of hours with the utmost concern for our daughter's well being. Top notch.

Yes, Dr. Fischer has an odd, dry personality that may not jive with everyone. But WHO CARES? When I am looking to a hand surgeon, I couldn't really care less if I have good conversation with the guy. I want the most competent surgeon that I can get in the operating room. Dr. Fischer is an excellent surgeon. He was able to fix my severely broken finger in an entirely closed procedure when two other surgeons told me they'd have to open me up (which adds scarring and can complicate the healing process). He promised he would try his hardest and he came through. This guy really cares about his work and is great at what he does. I cannot recommend him enough
