Dr. Evelyn Fidellaga Mendoza, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Mendoza for 15yrs now and she has truly been a Blessing! She was highly recommended by the oncology office that had been treating me for 30yrs as I am a long term survivor of a childhood cancer. My health history is extensive & complicated. I've seen many specialists & have had to change Drs if they aren't experienced with the level of care I require. Dr Mendoza is the only Dr I have never changed. She's extremely knowledgeable, caring, and thorough. She makes me feel at ease, takes the time to listen to concerns & explains things in a way that's easy to understand. The staff are caring & efficient. I'm very pleased with the care Dr. Mendoza & her staff give me. I've even referred my 90yr old dad to this office & he loves it, too. Very professional, highly recommended.

I am glad I choose Dr Mendoza to treat me, I was originally assigned to be treated by a well regarded physician that was 30 miles from my house and was reluctant to change. Dr Mendoza eased the transition and I am doing well at the moment and has encouraged me to return to work and an active life. I'm still sick but I'm not at home feeling sorry for myself.

Every time I call the office the front desk staff are very rude. I'm to the point of not ever wanting to call that office again because it is to stressful. Even going into the office they are rude and uncaring. They should only hire front desk people that are caring and patience with Dr. Mendoza's oatient's.

She may be a very good doctor but she has NO bedside manor. When ask if she would consult with my Dads out of town doctor she said Yes, I could but I am the one treating you now. I don't know why he let you travel out of town being sick" and continued to tell us how sick my Dad was and how there was no treatment. Really you think we did not know this. I hope we never need her services again. Very unprofessional in my option. My Dad is scared and just wants to make sure the doctor he has trusted in for 4 years is kept in the know of his medical care. Maybe he should not have traveled like she suggested....maybe he should just sit at home die and not visit his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thanks but no Thanks! I really liked Dr. Mendoza. She is very knowledgeable about a rare condition I have. She is very likeable and down to earth. Her staff in the Murietta office are another story. After receiving a stat order for a procedure they took an I don't care attitude, I called on Christmas Eve to find out what was going on, I was told they were having a Christmas party and couldn't be bothered to find my file. I called several times with a we will call you back, and never received a call back. The whatever attitude in that office is horrible. What makes it worst is they are dealing with severly ill people. The staff is making medical decisions for the doctor. Her staff makes her appear incompetent. It will be 3 weeks after the initial I want a stat authorization from the doctor when this procedure takes place.

I want to Dr. M right after I was diagnosed for Leukemia. My head was spinning from the news as you can imagine. After meeting with her, she want me to start chemo the very next week! I decided to get a second opinion and was lucky enough to be close to a specialist in my form of leukemia (CLL). Sure enough, he said there was absolutely no reason to start chemo. He did say that oncologists that treat all types of cancer usually like to jump on the same protocol for all, instead of treating the person, not just the symptoms. Well, it's been over 6 years now with no treatment necessary. I have my labs drawn every 4 months or so and we look at those plus any symptoms such as swollen glands. Dr. Mendoza is no doubt a very good doctor and very caring, but I would strongly suggest a second opinion.

She takes no chances. Dots the i's and crossed the t's. Multiple tests that get rather bothersome, but no stone left unturned.
