Had the worse experience with Dr Alvin she this doctor she is rude ignorant and has terrible bed side manners I felt insulted as she asked me why I was depressed didn't take any meds asked and she acted like I was asking for narcotics she is by far the worst as a woman I wanted a woman doctor moving to the Plainfield area ...where she was in romeoville office ...they then removed her because everyone complaining about how rude and how unprofessional she was I can't believe she lost my blood work on top of all this the Secretary's all wanted to quit she treated them like garbage as well I pray she finds peace within herself before she has a license to to practice she needs to be evaluated!!!!

Dr. F. Alvi takes the time to meet and understand her patiences needs. Her bedside manner is wonderful. She explains each diagnosis and speaks to you so you understand. Always has time for you and is concerned about You!

My wife and I have been patience for a lot of years.. We won't see anyone else.. Keep up the great care dr.alvi..

A great Dr has great bed side patience

Went to see this doctor for the first time for personal reasons, and she was extremely rude, and judgmental. Made rude facial expressions, talked with her back towards me, made rude comments, worst doctor I've ever seen in my life. No bedside manner. Needs sensitivity training. However the receptionists were nice...

Dr.Alvi is Awsome very thorough and always has an opening for me and if not she gets me in a very timely manner.Thank You Doctor Alvi. Oh...! Btw I have to admit I do like her staff their wonderful....ThanK You Guys.

staff is horribleeeeeeee! ! dr. alvi is good but dealing with her staff made me switch doctors. not worth it!

She talk to her pt and staff as if they are stupid yell at staff in front of pt very disrespectful never touch the area you say is hurting you not mouth throat leg arm and just say you have a lot going on yes really that is why I am at the doc office please find another Dr would not refer her to be animal doc

No bedside manner- odd sense of humor. Overly critical sometimes. Argues with staff in front of patients and won't do refills without office visits. Also always requires follow up visits even when not needed.

If there is one quality most physicians today lack, it is definitely honesty. As a nurse, I see it everyday. Doctors are very afraid to be honest with their patients and families. I respect Dr. Alvi for her ability to be open and communicate honestly with her patients. Obviously, not every patient appreciates how rare that is! I have seen Dr. Alvi for years, as both an HMO and PPO patient. For patients who do not understand insurance, and have written some of the bad reviews on here, there are things that your insurance dictates that are out of Dr. Alvi's hands. For example, what tests they require, will or will not cover, even where those tests must be performed (office or other lab). Dr. Alvi provides great, personalized care all while jumping through the numerous, ridiculous hoops insurance companies mandate. Please, be an informed patient! Dr. Alvi has ALWAYS been able to see me when I needed an appointment. If I started to feel sick, I could call the office first thing in… the morning and get in that day. Yes, I may have had to wait a bit longer (since they were squeezing me in last minute), but many doctors won't even try to fit you in! Dr. Alvi will see you, take your concerns seriously, and follow up with you. She is persistent. Every visit, she encourages me to change my unhealthy habits. I know that I should, and that it is negatively affecting my health. She does not give up on me, though. She encourages me and continues to try to find ways to work with me to improve my health. Maybe some patients do not appreciate that, but I certainly do. Dr. Alvi knows her patients by name. She remembers you and your family. She doesn't have to read your chart first to know those things. That is yet another rare quality. I have been a patient for a long time and recommend her often. I have finally found a doctor who truly cares for her patients and puts them first. She is honest, brutally so, when I am being stubborn. But I love the fact that she is always upfront. She gives me all of the information I need, encourages me to make the right choice for me. She explains when things are mandated by insurance, tying her hands. I definitely miss Charmaine her nurse, but Rosie is great and does an amazing job as well. Not every patient and doctor are a great fit. You need to find the doctor whose personality and bedside manor work the best for you. For me, that is Dr. Alvi.
