This doctor performed a lumbar puncture on me a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately for me, he could not be bothered to wait the ONE minute it takes for the lidocaine to do it's job, therefor I felt the needle when it entered my spine. PAIN! When my leg involuntarily flexed upward, all he did was yell at me to put my leg down (as if I was doing it by choice..). After I yelled out in pain & laid there on my stomach, crying in shock & fear, he, nor did anyone else in the room, do anything to console me or put my mind at ease. This was the worst medical experience of my life. Only after I returned to post care did one of the nurses who was present during the procedure apologize for how "poorly things were handled during the procedure" (his words exactly). Later, another employee at the hospital informed me he has a bad reputation with patients (in regards to patient care) but Memorial keeps him around because "he's good at his job." Well he certainly wasn't good at ANY aspect of his job… the day he performed my procedure.

Takes his time with you. Is never in a rush.
