Dr. Fern Lorraine Grapin, MD

Terrible bedside manner. She is short, judgmental and inattentive. Office "lost lab results" and I had to wait weeks before I had the same tests performed. I feel like a pariah every time I leave the office. Looking for a new provider.

As a patient of Dr. Grapin for over three years, I have developed a trusted relationship. My most recent visit was awful due to the unwarranted disrespect of Denise, a staff member. After having to visit the office twice due to insurance issues, not be treated and disrespected, was unacceptable. She was rude (speaking over the receptionist) & inserted herself in a matter that did not involve her. Unfortunately, my relationship w/my doctor has been ruined by a staff member. I will never return.

I have been seeing Dr. Grapin for many years and I continue to see her because she makes me feel like she really cares about what is best for me. I especially like the fact that she will explore natural options for healing. She has always been very responsive to my questions. This is very important to me. As I am aging and there are more and more changes, I continue to want to learn more and she is willing to take the time to explain options. She makes me feel comfortable and for those reasons I give her a rating of Excellent.

I've been going to Dr. Grapin for a very long time. I consider her my doctor and my friend. She is no nonsense, but has incredible compassion. She is a great diagnostician and always seems to have suggestions to help for any issue

Dr. Grapin is rude, snide, arrogant and testy for the most part, to the point where I wonder if there is a problem. But some appointments she has been fine. Weird. I tolerated the behavior over the years because I thought she was thorough, but I had occasion to question that recently. Plus she was particularly unprofessional. I have had enough. I don't recommend her.

She is an OK doctor, if you just need a doctor for annual checkups. She and her nurse just rub me the wrong way, which wasn't too big of a deal when I was in and out for a checkup, but when my test came back abnormal I really couldn't stand them. My biggest problem is that it felt like they are talking at you, instead of to/with you. That they just have to get the words out there, and don't really care about you understanding them or your reaction to them. The final straw for me was when they were trying to get me to do a procedure (which in the end wasn't a big deal), but I was upset at the time. Her response when I finally agreed: "we have to do this quick, I have a meeting at [half hour later]". I walked out and had it done with another doctor. on the other hand, I've never had a problem with scheduling or her receptionist.

I went to Dr. Grapin for years and it was fine. Then I got pregnant in 2003 and the wheels fell off. I had one miscarriage and she was borderline rude - very unsympathetic when we were in tears. I then was pregnant again with what turned out to be an ectopic. She said when I paged her due to spotting, "It's just a miscarriage." She discouraged me getting the ultrasound which revealed the ectopic and probably saved my life. They made me have the methotrexate done at the cancer center (!) instead of in the doctor's office as is done in normal clinics. Then the office staff kept calling about regular appointments even though I wasn't pregnant any longer. I would run, not walk, away from this practice.

I have been going to Dr. Grapin for 25+ years. She has been very supportive and caring!

I really like Dr. Grapin. She's been my GYN for the past 7 years. Her front desk receptionist is rude and abrupt. She doesn't have good people skills and isn't friendly at all!!

Dr. Grapin is usually outstanding; however, the office is close for an entire week and I was left hanging. my requested referral was not sent before they shut their doors for the week. I needed a test retaken and called the office twice, left messages but no one responded. Then I call a 3rd time and I'm told the office is closed for a week. I'm left to worry about this situation for almost two weeks before I can talk to anyone. Poor service! I hope and pray my condition is fine while I look for a different doctor.
