Dr. Fernando Stern, MD

This guy is a hack and will instantly put you on meds without even understanding the full reason you are there in the first place. Got a bullshit diagnosis and stuck on medication I never needed. His solution to anything I said was just up the dosage which made things worse. It’s been hell trying to get off of it but I’m halfway there no thanks to this guy.

Writing this because I've moved from Miami and have had trouble finding a doc I like as much as Dr Stern. I have no idea who some of these reviewers are talking about - Dr Stern was fantastic. Knew his stuff, listened & gave great feedback and advice.

He does not communicate at all. He doesn't listen, only talks at you, he is so uninterested in anything you have to say. He complains that you tell him same thing all the time, DUH? He writes RX's and dismisses you

Very knowledgeable doctor with good advice and up-to-date knowledge on health insurance companies and advances in medications. There's no substitute for experience and I felt like he knew and understood me very clearly by the questions he asked. Straightforward and candid just the way I would expect a good psychiatrist to be. No $50 words or games. I'd recommend him to anybody.

Ha, these reviews are funny. Dr. Stern may seem rude, however he has a dark since of humor that may be hard for some to understand. As far as medical knowledge he is one of the best I have met in south Florida. He is always up to date on new research and very concerned and willing to discuss side effects of medications that I find other psychiatrist do not. He saved my life and overall wellbeing.. with out trying to over medicate. I think that is the most important thing to look for is a psychiatrist. If you want warmth and long term conversations see a therapist.

When he called my name, saw another patient and made male chauvinistic remarks at the other patient who later I felt he rushed through my appt to get to hers. My first time there and he didn't want to know why, just wanted to give me a RX. All of a sudden he was walking me to the door. It's time for him to retire! He was absolutely no help to me at all. I would NOT GIVE ANY STARS for the last 4 items on the list, but didn't have a choice!!! I feel very bad for his patients!

Fernando Stern MD is a jerk. He dislikes woman and treats them very poorly. He recommended that I have a hysterectomy when I was age 21. He told me that "all women are hysterical". Avoid Fernando Stern MD . He is a terrible Psychiatrist.

He is very caring and is not patronizing to women.
