Dr. Florence Yu graduated from the seven- year B.S./ M.D. combined program at The Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, City University of New York Medical School and received her medical degree from New York Medical College in 2006. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at St Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan, under the Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers. Dr. Yu worked as an internist at The Hospital for Special Surgery since 2009, specializing in Perioperative Medicine. She joined Weill Cornell Medical Associates at the Iris Cantor Health Center in August 2015, a multidisciplinary practice providing coordinated and comprehensive patient care to both men and women.She finished her Master of Public Health at the University of Massachusetts Amherst to further her knowledge of current public health concerns. Her focus is on preventing disease and prolonging a high quality, healthful life. Her primary goal as a physician is to provide quality compassionate care to all …her patients.Dr. Yu is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. She provides primary care services and weight management. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Women's Association, American Medical Association and Obesity Medicine Association.

Dr. Yu is fabulous, detailed, knowledgeable and compassionate. She’s thoughtful and thorough. I have been seeing her a number of years and referred numerous friends to her. I just hope she doesn’t leave or stop taking my insurance! Dr. Yu is wonderful! I’m lucky to have found her-Thank you, Dr. Yu!

Dr. Yu has been my primary doctor for the past five years, and I can't express how grateful I am to have her in my life. Her depth of knowledge, unwavering care, and genuine compassion make all the difference in my experience. Dr Yu has been my internist for a good many years and I feel so fortunate that she is my Primary Dr. Dr Yu is professional, concerned, caring and knowledgeable; she is the epitome of what you would expect or want from an internist. I have recommended Dr Yu to friends and they are also very satisfied with her expertise and wonderful demeanor and skill set.

I had been bitten by a tick, had the telltale bull’s-eye on my arm and needed to see a physician for medication. My doctor was away, and I was able to make a video appointment with Dr. Hu . She is like a breath of fresh air, .She was friendly, engaging, concerned, and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable with her and my problem was resolved.

Quick and efficient video visit follow up. Office was responsive within institutional standard turnaround times on latest medication refill request as well.
