This Doctor is by far one of the worst in Texas and his license should be taken away....The way he has treated my grandmother with dementia is disgusting.

Dr Pirtle is an excellent Dr. He makes you feel comfortable and you never feel rushed thru your time with him. If you are looking for a doctor in or around Lubbock, I recommend him most highly.

THE BEST DOCTOR IN LUBBOCK!!!

My niece was referreded by a PA to go thru ER, Due to experiencing a sharp pain on right side of her head along with tingling/ numbness. ER not sure was is causing her sharp pain and went ahead and admitted her into the hospital. Dr. Pirtle was assigned for her care and that was one of the biggest mistake my niece states she allowed for him to be assigned for her care. He totally ignored her symptoms and reason why she was instructed by PA to go straight ER. He has no compassion in him at all!! Very rude! Does not care about listening to his patients!! She will never return back to see him!!

We have been going to Dr. Pirtle for about 6 years & think the world of him. He takes alot of time with my husband & me. Records everything we tell him. Always calls back to answer any questions we have & called to check after I was in the hospital. His nurse & staff are the best.

been seeing him for many years and nothing has changed. does not really care about bedside manner or how any treatments are working for individual patients. I wish I would have had the chance to go with the other dr. working in the office with pirtle. pirtle just seems too busy to be bothered with local patients since he is always out at the rural clinics. rarely checks up by a phone call on us sick patients. i have to call them and then wait several days for them to call me back. but i am stuck with him for now.

In my opinion, Floyd Pirtle has no compassion for the elderly. He became both my parents doctor because they were seen by him in UMC's emergency room. The day my father took a turn for the worse, Dr Pirtle, did not console any family members.He let the nurses do his dirty work.(the UMC nurses were wonderful and caring during that difficult time!)A few short months after my dad passed away, my mother was at UMC for COPD and congested heart failure. After about 4 days of trying to treat the fluid build-up on my mom,Dr Pirtle discharged her. We had to bring her home by ambulance because she was too weak and too swollen to walk. Five days later, my mom was taken to the Lubbock Heart Hospital, by ambulance, where she got the great help she needed. They pulled fluid off her body. The swelling from her legs went down which enabled her to walk. And her breathing got better as well.

Internist?? Doesn't touch patient(s). Orders lab every visit - even if an x-ray is more in line with reason for the visit. To examine area of concern would be nice, but not done, when muschle/joint pain is complaint. Also, checking sinuses should/would be appropriate when congestion is complaint and/or concern. I am human and sensitive!
