Dr. Francis Xavier Carmody, MD

I am blessed to have secured Dr. Carmody for a PCP. He's extraordinarily knowledgable and wonderfully caring. A nonpareil MD.

Dr. Carmody is the best. Extremely efficient yet conservative in his medical approach. When admitted to one of his participating hospitals, he checked in on me twice a days x5 days.

I am not a patient, but I have had occasion to call Dr. Carmody's office. I don't know about 2013, but in 2018 the way his staff handles requests could not be improved upon.

My husband was a patient of Dr. Carmody for 30 years. He died last week of stage 4 liver cancer. This was never diagnosed by Dr. Carmody.

I have been a patient of Dr Carmody for years, so has my mom. We absolutely love this Doctor. He is the best Doctor I know, he is caring, compassionate, takes the time to explain things, never misses a beat and in my opinion I would trust everything he says! He always call you back when you call with a problem and he refers you to the best Doctors! He listens! He doesn't rush you, you might have to wait a little longer but it is well worth it! His office staff is also great!

Office manager, Debbie, is extremely rude, abrupt and uncivil. Dr. Carmody himself is a good doctor. However, the office staff is making it impossible to receive proper, comfortable care. Everyone I have told about my experiences with the staff have confirmed my impression that their behavior is indicative of personal prejudice or bigotry, which is extremely sad this day in age.

I love him to death and think he is the greatest, he is the type Dr.that tells you like it is,and I respect that.He treats my husband also. Debby, his secretary is very efficient and nice. I sure would refer any of my friends to see him in a heart beat.

If you're looking for a doc who can speed you in and out of his office within 17 minutes, this is not the doctor for you. Dr. Carmody is caring and thorough in his approach to all patients; he spends time listening and then explaining conditions, treatment options, etc. He will visit you in the hospital -- even when you haven't told him you're there! I haven't had such a doctor since my pediatrician in the 50's and 60's. You'll have to wait your turn, but he's well worth the wait.
