Honestly read and heed the negative reviews. What an awful experience! He uses medical students to examine without permission. Actually instructing them on you as though you weren't there. Insensitive and arrogant. Messed up my surgery and I woun up in hospital for weeks. My life is ruined.

Dr. Grumbine performed my hysterectomy with complications and did an outstanding job. We are lucky to have such a talented, caring doctor in the Baltimore region.

You dont even get Dr Grumbine you talk to a med student assistance and he tells Dr Grumbine your reason for the visit! Wow if i wanted that i would go to patient first. And then they both come in the room and give you a vaginal and rectal exam. So your being poked and proded 2x so this med student can learn. How painful and uncomfortable when your already in pain. Them after looking at the results from the MRI that indicates cysts on my ovary dismiss it like its no big deal. Very uncompassionate doctor! As for the med student even a non medical person knows that unusal growths on a part is not a good thing and can cause that part of the body to malfunction. I have had many cysts on my other ovary which caused over producation of hormones. Once it was removed my hormones went back to normal. Im going through the same thing again and went to DR Grumbine for help but instead i was told im fine and sent home. What a waste of time and insurance money. The office should not bill the… insursnce company for Dr Grumbines services instead 1/2 off for the med student. This visit desreves 0 stars.

Grumbine is dismissive in a grandfatherly way. He seems to lack awareness that women today are educated and require more than a pat on the head. His office and OR are filled with young attractive female med students and residents and no one consults you for permission to have them examine you AND perform your surgery while he oversees. There are many qualified , caring surgeons... Choose someone else...I wish I had.

This man is totally irresponsible as a Doctor,Surgeon, and Human being! He lacks insight or forethought into treating people as he didn't disclose how My Intestines would/could be damaged after removing such a large Mass! He was dismissive and callous when I went to see him afterwards to address the complication telling me dismissively to, "Go see a Gastro as "It happens"....Thanks for the warning Mr Grumbine!(Not!) How reckless to damage someone for LIFE and now My guts wont work to have a bowel movement AT ALL due to his negligent surgical technique! He Should have TOLD ME that My Intestines could fail to work with a Mass removal of that size and involved a Gastro during MY SURGERY as I had no clue this could/would happen,I'm not a doctor! My life has been practically ruined over this issue alone which is persistent now that I have NO insurance. :(

Very experienced surgeon. Can improvise when needed during surgery. Good outcome. Very organized. Dr. is a cancer gynocologist so is always going to consider worst case situation when providing care. Overall very pleased with his care and services provided.

My overall experience with Dr. Grumbine was excellent. He has great bedside manner. After my surgery, he came to visit me often just to see how I was recovering. The only thing I would recommend to future patients who may be facing a hysterectomy or oophorectomy, ask many questions before the surgery. Be sure you have all the facts for the outcome or possible outcome. If you desire to have children in the future, I would suggest opting not to have the surgery. Ask about non-surgical options such as hormone therapy to decrease the mass or cyst or other options for endometriosis treatment.

I'm sure he is an excellent oncologist, but he does not know how to treat Endo. He removed my rt. ovary and tube, but left endo everywhere - which has now grown and invaded my left ovary. Absolutely inadequate care as fare as endometriosis is concerned.
