I've been a patient of Dr. Levert's since 2001 when I lived in the Atlanta area, and continue to consult him as a second opinion now that I live in Pennsylvania. Dr. Levert is incredibly empathetic, compassionate, and concerned about the pain levels associated with my GI issues. I find him to be extremely knowledgeable and able to communicate issues clearly. When he is present, he really IS present. He's focused. Yet, at the same time that Dr. Levert provides information, guidance and encouragement, he is still a down-to-earth guy with a nice sense of humor. Even from a different part of the country, I respect Dr. Levert's opinions and appreciate that he has allowed me to still be his patient.

As bad luck goes, I got a bout of diverticulitis just before Easter and during the Covid-19 virus. My last attack was also over a holiday,and none of his NP wanted to refill prescription without a visit first. Dr L promised me I would never have to go through this pain again because he had left instruction on my file to give me a refill whenever I needed one. I called his NP who refused to follow this and said she had to contact him first. How can anybody be so heartless to let me wait in pain over a week to call in my refill is beyond me! I hope she enjoyed her holiday! I still haven't gotten my refill!

He was very nice. I am from out of town and traveled a few hours to see him. I learned nothing about what’s wrong with me, though, so felt it was a wasted trip. He took blood and said he’d call me the beginning of this week but no word from him or the RN. I finally called today, a week later, and we’ll see if I get a return call.

Dr. LeVert is the most thorough doctor I've ever seen. He is meticulous, and goes over and beyond the call of duty in his treatment. He has a wonderful bedside manner and answers any questions we have with thoughtful consideration. I highly recommend him.

It's nice to hear other professionals speak highly of peers. It's even better when you conclude the comments are well deserved. Dr. Levert is a very personal guy one easily decides is authentic and cares about his patients. I will not hesitate to recommend him and the Shallowford Emory Clinic staff.
