Dr. Frank Joseph Alvarez III, MD

All I need is an annual physical exam and renewal of prescriptions for medications I have taken for over 10 years, but this doctor requires that all his patients be seen every 6 months or more often to have prescriptions renewed, even if they are not having any problems. This seems to be the case with all internal medicine doctors at Baton Rouge Clinic. In their practice, every patients must have a certain yearly dollar value.

Horrible!!!!

I ended up in the hospital and was told that I was very fortunate, and the new specialist I was seeing was surprised, that the dosage prescribed to me didn't put me into cardiac arrest. I tried calling Dr. Alvarez prior to being rushed to the ER to let them know I was having terrible side effects, but no one ever returned my call. The nurses seem annoyed when they actually have to work, and the doctor seems to be annoyed if I asked questions about conditions or prescribed medications. My advice is stay away from this man and his staff, because their lack of genuine concern for your well being is beyond ridiculous.
