Dr. Frank John Catanzariti, MD

Your knee replacement will be successful if you DON’T use this guy!!! He proves that the person who graduates last in their medical school is still called doctor.

Very friendly, took the time to explain my options, seemed very knowledgeable and trustworthy.

Both of my knee caps are not aligned properly. I have been having issues with my knees for years and my right knee had become very unstable and extremely painful. My spine surgeon is part of Towson Orthopedics and I LOVE him. So I decided to make an appointment with their knee doctor. First visit they did x-rays and I met with the PA. She was wonderful but I needed surgery so second visit was with Dr. Catanzariti. He forgot me in a room so I waited extremely long to see him. The first words out of his mouth were if you weren't so fat you would not need to be here. I have had knee problems all of my life and some of my problems are hereditary not weight issues! I wanted to cry. He then looked at my X-rays and was like you need surgery now! My patella was sitting on my femur causing severe damage. And he had an opening in just a little over a week. So instead of finding a different dr. I went through with him. Woke up screaming in pain in recovery and nothing he was giving me was helping… after using 4 different pain meds he finally got it under control and sent me home. Again at follow up visit he said you really are fat. I had lost 20 pounds since my first visit. My pain was still not under control and asked for meds he told me to take Advil and lose weight I would be fine. He is arrogant, rude and has no bed side manner what so ever. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy. There are other great knee surgeons in the practice so use one of them instead. I LOVE Towson Orthopedics! Just not this jerk!

I went to see the doctor because that was the only doctor that had a appointment. Now I know why. Not a very good doctor at all. Will never go back or recommend him to anyone. He was very short with me, rushed me through, not sympathetic at all. Didn't explain things to a patients level and when I ask questions he talked to me like I was stupid! They said to me if I had anymore issues with my problem to come back. So the procedure that he did gave me no improvement so I went back like they said to. He came in the office and ask me why am I there?? He said " I cant do nothing for you"! Then why did you tell me to come back??? Just to be able to charge me again....$$$$ That's all what some doctors are out for! Not to listen to the patients concerns. This was a bad experience for me and one bad apple makes the whole bunch bad. I will never go to TOWSON ORTHOPEDICS to see any of the doctors because of the way I was treated. No bedside manner at all. Doctors need to learn how to respect… there patients as we respect them because they are the EDUCATED ones. I am very upset!

I had a great experience with Dr. Catanzariti. I had to have a complete knee replacement. Every time I was in his office, I was seen promptly and he took the time to answer all my questions never giving me the feeling that he was in a rush.

Dr. Catanzariti has NO bedside manner, he is quick with getting you in the door but keeps you waiting FOREVER while he is in the hallway shooting the breeze with the next patient about their GOLF SWING.Since I did not want to go the surgery route just yet, He gave me a rubber band to use on my shoulder which i never used since it would actually irritate the tendons even more from the painful bone spurs.

He was arrogant, insensitive, and rude. I will never go back to this doctor. I will be sure to tell all of my coworkers and friends. I can't believe the Towson Orthopedic Associates continue to allow him to be on the staff. He must be part owner. I want to let as many as people as possible know how bad he is.

In the words of Dr. C: 'this is the worst I've seen in 25 years'... Playing basketball, I suffered a complete ACL tear and sheered my miniscus completely from the bone in my right knee. Also having accute arthritis from years of football didn't help any. Dr. Catanzariti explained all my options, handled the surgery, and even provided pointers for recovery. Four years later I have run in 2 half marathons, played semi pro football, and still going strong in a military basketball league for the 3rd straight year... Thanks Dr. C - you put me back in the game!!!
