Dr. Frank Anthony Cordasco, MD

Dr. Cordasco and his team at HSS showed my family and I care, concern, respect, professionalism and expertise. They told me to expect to return to sport after tearing my ACL within 6-9 months and sure enough I was cleared to play 2 weeks before the 9 month mark! Post surgical follow up appts were horrible. The wait times were ridiculous, at least 1.5 hours. Cordasco’s bed side manner was condescending and bullish. He did not hear me at all. In fact he demanded I listen to him. I felt like a reprimanded child. Maybe it was because I was a women ? Who knows? When I declined further appts with him he called my husband! WTF? Then cut off my physical therapy and I suspect from the general tone since then, had me black listed. I am gob smacked! I have had several orthopedic surgeries in the past with other doctors at HSS and could not have been happier but Cordasco? See him if you are a fellow doctor or a man maybe but women? At your own risk.

Dr. Cordasco was straightforward, informative, attentive and professional. His manner inspires great confidence. He was clear about the benefits of surgery and did not promise more than was realistic. He reviewed my xrays and intra-operative photos with me in detail. I felt extremely well cared for both before and after the surgery. I would happily recommend him.

Excellent experience. I broke my collarbone in a cycling injury on a Saturday morning. I called his office Monday morning, he saw me that day, operated the next day. He was clear, direct, supportive, friendly. He is not touchy-feely but you will be treated well and there is just no doubt about his skill. Be prepared with your questions. He will answer every one of them but when he's done that, he's outta there. His staff is awesome. The results were even better than I expected.

Arrogant, sarcastic, intense, uptight, smart, and very knowledgeable, I think those words best describe Dr. Cordasco on the day of my only visit. He does have a wonderful and caring staff. And he clearly is on the cutting edge. Unfortunately, his talent may have gone to his head and as a result his effectiveness suffers. I had been too many of the top orthopedists in the city including Dr. Altchek. None of them take my insurance, so I figured I would do some internet research to find another competent doctor and save myself $500 for a minor issue. I read many glowing reviews on Dr. Cordasco, was impressed by his research and awards, and so knew he was very competent. And he took my insurance. He conducted 5-8 minutes of initial discovery , which was very thorough and I was impressed Then he asked me where I found him, and I told him "the world wide web". The appointment went downhill after that moment. Not sure if he was offended I did not get a referral, or just figured he… did not have to worry because I would not report back a bad experience. The whole experience was kinda strange. Anyway, he became sarcastic, impatient, and very rigid after that point. He recommended that I do an arthroscopic procedure that same day. When I wanted to think about it, he became evidently frustrated. And the appointment just awkwardly ended not long after. I spoke to another doctor after his recommendation who thought his recommendation of the procedure was premature as conservative options should be tried first. Perhaps, I just got him on a bad day. But he seemed stressed, very rigid, inflexible, and recommended a procedure prematurely. If you are looking for a smart, knowledgeable doctor who wants you to do whatever he says, then I think Dr. Cordasco is perfect for you. If you want a doctor who is empathic, and really wants to work with you then he is a poor choice.

My son ruptured his ACL. We found Dr. Cordasco to be extremely professional and courteous. His staff was very helpful also. The procedure was explained well and treatment was exceptional. We felt we were in the hands of a cutting edge doctor.

My son tore his ACL. Dr. Cordasco was our second opinion. He was friendly, diagnosed the problem very quickly. he explained every part of the procedure and went over the MRI and explained the injury and the surgical procedure. He did a wonderful job with the surgery and my son has been recovering quickly. His staff is so competent and friendly. His assistant Lori is amazing. She is so helpful and on top of our case and is closely involved with our physical therapy. she held our hand through the whole procedure. Angela in scheduling is so organized and helpful and Donna in billing is so helpful and organized. The doctor and the staff make a stressful experience, so much easier. I can't say enough about this doctor and his staff.

cordasco performed a reconstruction on my separated shoulder. He is very professional and easy to talk to. He explains in detail so that you understand. does not have "the god" complex many surgeons have which is why I picked him, excellent caring physician. 8 weeks post op and I feel great.

the staff at the office are so caring extremely helpfull profesional i would reffer dr cordasco to family and friends he is excellent the best i was blessed to have him preform my shoulder surgery
