I’ve never written a negative review of a doctor but I left my appointment feeling absolutely crazy, and more frustrated than I was when I came in. I waited months to see him, and drove an hour to get there. He came in rushed and impatient. Dr. Martini didn’t ask for my background or history with GI. I told him as much as I could but he didn’t address anything about my long history with an eating disorder, the family history of cancer, my IBS-C, of how my issues affect my life today. I told him the only thing that helps is cutting out as much gluten and dairy as possible, to which he responded “yes that is very trendy these days.” He felt my belly 3 times. He didn’t palpate at all or listen with his stethoscope. He just kept saying “so what questions do you have?,” until I got too frustrated to talk. He made me feel like I was overreacting to 30 years of pain and no diagnoses. I gave him an extra star because he did order a test for me that I hadn’t heard of before. BUT when the… results came back, he told me I was fine (his NP was the one who communicated with me.) and when I asked for clarification based on the irregular numbers on my test results, he gave none. Said I was all good. My new RNP messaged me directly to let me know my test results actually indicate that I need meds to treat my diagnosis. After one interaction with my new RNP I have received a new medication and was offered IBS-C medication for the first time in my life.

Going to a Gastroenterologist is never easy but Dr. Martini helps to ease the comfort level. I have been going to Dr. Martini for years, he is kind, knowledgeable and has an excellent bedside manner.

I've had two tests done with Dr. Martini and absolutely no follow up.

Did not treat colitis properly. I endured much suffering.

Colonscopy - good experience and very professional. Short visits but right on topic.
