If i can give 0 stars I would…. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO TO HIM!!!! I waited 1.5 hrs in a room to see him, he came in for approx 5 minutes DID NOT bother looking at MRI, diagnosed me with bursistis which CLEARLY states im MRI I do not have, my hip and thigh IS NOT EVEN WHY I CAME IN…… Proceeds to say I will call pain doctor and says I will be back in 5 mins…. Well another 45 mins of sitting and waiting I walked out and guess whose standing with other doctors waiting for a cab???? Him!!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS USELESS DOCTOR!!!!!

Dr Schwab did a botched operation on my lumbar spine Jan 2020 where he positioned 5 screws in the wrong place. Instead of being secured in bone to hold a fusion together, they went THROUGH INTO MY NERVE ROOTS OF MY SPINAL CORD ! He then lied and tried to cover it up. A neurosurgeon had to remove all of Dr Schwabs surgical hardware and 5 malplaced screws from my body a month later. I have permanent nerve damage and pain from Dr Schwabs surgery. He treated me with no respect and tried to blame the patient for his own errors. He did not use the most up to date operating navigation equipment that other surgeons use. He is shady and extremely untrustworthy. AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!

My life has been utterly destroyed by this man. The only reason I left 1 star is because the staff is friendly. I had a spinal fusion 15 months ago, and each day is worse than the last. I've been suffering with excruciating pain, but won't take pain medication, as I have a 3 year old, with a crippled father. I had always been in great shape, I went to the gym at least 6 days a week, and was told I would be able to participate in athletes again within 6 months. I was also a drummer. I can no longer feel my legs at times from the knees down. I've tried to fight through the pain, but I can't even sit on the drum throne for more than 15 minutes. I haven't slept more than 2, or 3 hours at a time. I've had an MRI taken, and I had to call them a month after the test for the results. They than told me it could be neurological, so I had an MRI, EEG, and other tests done. All were negative. I occasionally lose control of my bladder. Yes that's embarrassing as heck to say, but I'm going… to talk about my experience with this "surgeon" I've pleaded for them to fix me, over, and over. If they don't, my daughter will be without father. My cholesterol has skyrocketed to around 390, and my triglycerides are off the charts. I never received a call from him to see how I was doing. I was lied to pre surgery, so he could put me through a Discogram (please look it up) I will be updating my review as warranted. There's a whole lot more to this story. I am in an incredibly amount of pain every single day, and it continues to get worse. Avoid this "surgeon" at all costs. He destroyed my life, and has taken no action to try and help me I'd like to add something. After posting my review of this man on YELP, I FINALLY got a call from him 16 months after my surgery. I asked him why couldn't he pick up the phone when he knew I'm suffering, and his response was "I have thousands of patients " WOW! PLEASE check the Yelp reviews before going to see this guy It's obvious my review is being manipulated WHY IS MY REVIEW NOT COUNTED? How could he have a 5 star rating, when I gave him 1 star? Dr Schwab worked on my wife's back three years ago. Her scoliosis drove her to tears - his operation brought her life back. We knew the current neck operation would be needed and she had it three weeks ago. It is considered the most complex procedure they do. Once again his work was miraculous. My wife now is 1)walking freely, 2) her neck is straight and 3)she she is out of pain. It is wonderful seeing her able laugh and smile again. We can't rave enough about Dr Schwab and his remarkable staff.

I am so very impressed with the overall care I received from Dr. Schwab since the very first day my mother practically climbed over his desk in tears begging for his immediate help. He's professional, thorough, caring, informative, and patient to say the least, especially with my mom. Lol. I was injured during preseason baseball at college and could barely walk. The surgery Dr.Schwab performed was nothing short of miraculous. I was healed in 4 months and back on the mound warming up in 6 months and one year later setting records and throwing better than I ever have before. There is not a single day that passes that my family and I don't say thank you God for Dr. Schwab!

Amazing doctor, chronic pain for 4 years thought it wasn't fixable, Dr. Schwab gave me my life back. His staff is fantastic as well, every person I dealt with from the first appt to the last follow up was great

Best there is for your spine.

Dr. Schwab performed spinal surgery on my in 2012 for scoliosis with a Harrington rod revision of previous surgery performed in 1971. I came out better than ever. It's now more than three years later, I'm pain free, with no activity restrictions.

Excellent knowledge and great description of disease process in layman's terms. He was gentle, thorough and answered all questions directly. There was a wait to be seen but I needed more xrays done before the appointment.
