Dr. Fraser John Leversedge, MD

I am extremely concerned about the care I received. My surgery was forgotten for over two months after my May visit, and the student doctor admitted it was his fault the information was not entered correctly. Ten days post-op, I experienced uncontrolled bleeding requiring an ER visit and a 101° fever, yet I had to ask for antibiotics myself. We were forgotten in the waiting room, my concerns were dismissed repeatedly, and my pain was minimized, leaving me vomiting and in a Cyclic Vomiting Episode for days. The PA, Sadie Chotto, was over two hours late, focused on other patients rather than my symptoms, brought a student into my appointment without consent (whom I had to ask to leave), and ignored my adhesive allergy while applying glue up and down my arm. My suffering clearly did not matter to this team, and I did not feel safe or cared for at any point.

First, all the nurses recommend him. They know EVERYTHING!!! Second, he is the most thorough, compassionate and committed doc there is. Never feel rushed and is a good listener. His staff say he is the most caring of any Dr. they have worked with. Sit in the waiting room and listen to everyone talk about how fantastic he is!!! I don't trust many docs and believe me, you MUST at least check him out.

I don't trust many doctors. Generally, you never know what you are getting. When I needed a hand surgeon I spoke with four OR nurses at Duke Hospital. They see and know everything. It's against policy for them to opine but each one gave glowing reviews of Fraser Leversedge. They gave GLOWING reviews about his expertise as well as his demeanor. Well, they couldn't have been more accurate. I had a complicated surgical procedure that had amazing results. I also had no insurance and he thought outside the box and saved me tons of money by ordering an unprecedented ultrasound instead of the traditional CT scan. He saved ma about $9700 in that alone. By the way, the first opinion I got from a different specialist from Raleigh could have cost me my life. He said I was fine when in fact I was on the verge of a massive infection. I urge you to go to Dr. Leversedge. He's the real deal.

it is amazing how anyone - even if they are not a patient - can leave an anonymous rating on a professional!! It makes one wonder as to who reads these and makes a decision on their important healthcare issues...

I loved Dr. Leversedge. He was patient and caring. And was thorough. He has great bedside manner, and everyone in his office is wonderful! Highly recommended!
