Dr. Fred Bayon, MD

This received two stars mainly because of the office staff themselves. Dr. Bayon is a wonderful doctor and is tentative to his patients. He is straight forward but in an empathetic and caring way (not rude). My family has been a part of this practice for years. My two younger sisters and I were patients of Dr. Nguyen when we were in pediatrics and my step-father was a patient of Dr. Bayon's for years before he switched insurance. The DOCTORS are one of the many reasons I started to see Dr. Bayon as my primary. I event had a chance to see Dr. Yoshisato when he was out of the office and she is very sweet. Some of the staff in this office however can make you feel less confident in the care that you are receiving due to the incompetence. Messages are not always relayed correctly, you do not always get a response within the time frame advised, and they make you feel as though your care is not important. It is extremely frustrating when you do not get the same treatment or quality of care… throughout the entire office. Unfortunately, I can not continue to go here knowing that information may or may not be related and that I may or may not be treated kindly.

I like Dr. Bayon. I've had him for some time, but practically every time I see him, he takes FOREVER to get to me and most of the time he's in a hurry like he has more important patients to see. He almost always gives me what I want, but I feel like he does this just to get me out of his face. I try to avoid seeing him as long as I can, because unless I have something like bronchitis, pneumonia, or something broken, I feel like he thinks I'm just wasting his time. He's usually moving quickly and has his computer closed with one foot out of the door while asking, "Is there anything else I can do?" He's less in a rush with me regardless of how serious or minor my problem is when I bring someone else in the room with me. I'm considering looking for a new primary care physician, because this has gone on long enough. I recently received an evaluation form from my network about him and was able to share some of my concerns. Get it together, Dr. Bayon. You're a nice doctor, but respectfully… speaking, your bedside manner needs some improvements.

Very friendly and easy to talk to.

On two separate occasions Bayon failed to follow up on lab results and specialist referral. Last comment heard during visit was "we will need to get to the bottom of this" to which, now post 3 months, has yet to be heard from. Follow up required copies of lab results to be reviewed by physician in family and follow up with additional specialist.
