Dr. Fred F Rezvani, MD

After years I’m moving on, he seems to be losing his touch. It might be time to retire, he seems confused and at times disoriented.

He told me and a friend we needed our tubes tied after our second babies because we could get blood clots from the pill. I switched practices and my new dr told me that was false after looking at the same labs. Spoke to someone else who goes to him and he tired her tubes. So odd everyone who goes to him needs this procedure that puts money in his pocket. Very shady and unkind person.

I’m nearing 40 so I wanted to be proactive and meet with a dr before I tried to get pregnant, he took blood and told me that I had a lot of eggs but the quality was terrible. I HAD to do IVF or I wouldn’t conceive. I took my paperwork and saw another Dr who said none of this was accurate and I was able to conceive with no help in two months. He must get a kickback- a complete disgrace.

He is the worse, he is dead dr, no patience, panicking, his way or no way, I had the worse experience, please don’t go near him

Stay away if you are overweight. This man is a monster!

Dr. Rezvani takes the time to address all the concerns of the patient. A+ professional with a wonderful office staff.

Stay away from Dr. Rezvani (ob/gyn) practice! Extremely rude and business oriented. I had a few appointments with him back in 2011 and 2012 (after having my 2nd baby). I had both children with a midwife and just needed gyn visits with an MD. I was waiting for a regular yearly checkup appointment for over a month. He usually overbooks his patients and the wait time is over an hour. So as it usually happened - when I waited for my last yearly checkup with him - I was waiting for over an hour to be accepted and after they learned I had my 3rd baby with a midwife (and not with him) they turned me away stating that the doctor will not accept me if my pregnancy/delivery provider was someone else. They should've acknowledged me beforehand when I was trying to make an appointment with him a month prior to the appointment. It was extremely unprofessional and rude to turn away a client right on the appointment day.

I would Trust this wonderful man with my life.

I was referred to Dr. Rezvani when I moved to New Jersey at 25 weeks pregnant with mono-di twins in 2014. Baby B wasn’t growing properly and he sent me in to the city to test for TTTS, which it was not. He then ran a blood test and decided that I had a protein S deficiency (which was actually proven an incorrect diagnosis after I saw a hematologist several months after the twins were born). He put me on a blood thinner Lovenox, where I had to inject my stomach with a shot daily, for something I did not actually suffer from. He also told me repeatedly that I could never be on birth control after the twins’ birth because the estrogen in birth control combined with the perceived protein S deficiency could cause a blood clot in me, and lead to death. When I went in for the 6 week appointment after their birth, the nurse and his associate who saw me both very forcefully recommended I start birth control immediately. I politely declined and after very rude and aggressive questioning as to… why not, I referred them to my charts again saying that Dr. Rezvani had stated very clearly that I should not be on birth control. They looked shocked, did not believe me, and then finally after glancing at my charts they brusquely moved on to do the exam. No discussion, no apology, no awareness that they had literally been trying to force birth control on me (which felt very unethical, not to mention could’ve been life threatening had I actually suffered from what Dr. Rezvani diagnosed me with). Other than that very upsetting experience (daily shots / being berated / misdiagnosed); I also experienced very unprofessional and poor interactions with the entire staff. My initial meeting with Dr. Rezvani started with a 10 minute lecture on what I should’ve eaten during my first trimester, without a single question as to what my diet actually looked like. He made assumptions about my weight gain and diet, and not until he finally had me step on the scale and realized I had only gained 12lbs at 25 weeks pregnant with twins did he say - oh, well I guess you have been conscious of your diet (which was also quite surprising to me considering he still had not asked me what my diet looked like, and I would’ve thought he would be concerned at my low weight gain and Baby B’s lack of growth, but instead was pleased). Additionally, starting at 28 weeks I experienced extremely painful Braxton Hicks for hours at a time and every time I called the office, I either reached the voicemail or an admin who said that Dr. Rezvani was unavailable and would call me back. I never received a return call from Dr. Rezvani. They also did not have email or texting. This was my first pregnancy, and looking back I should’ve just gone to the hospital, but I was seeing Maternal Fetal Medicine each week and they also seemed unconcerned. I was seeing Maternal Fetal Medicine weekly for my twins also, and the Friday of the weekend that my water broke (at 32 weeks), MFM told me that I didn’t look well and that I should stay at the hospital because the babies were likely coming. They called Dr. Rezvani who asked what my numbers were and because my numbers were fine he said, no just send her home. I wish I had had the courage and wisdom to disagree with my doctor and stay at the hospital that weekend. The doctors there might have been able to give me medicine to stall labor preventing my twins from being 7 weeks pre-mature and spending a month in the NICU. He could’ve said, keep her at the hospital and I’ll come check on her; or send her to my office. Instead he just said to send me home. When my water broke at 2am two days later at 32 weeks I could not even reach Dr. Rezvani / not even an emergency line to let him know I was in labor. I called the hospital and they contacted one of Dr. Rezvani’s associates who performed an emergency C-section on me. I understand that doctors are not perfect, but the biggest problem I had with Dr. Rezvani and his staff is that they exhibited so much arrogance that they did not seem willing to listen to or answer my concerns as a patient, or the concerns of the nurses or doctors who saw me at Maternal Fetal Medicine. The other major problem was the lack of availability - except for my scheduled appointments with him, I was unable to ask for advice about painful and concerning situations, which as a high risk specialist is a big red flag. I have since had another baby with a different doctor, and my experience was so much better that I felt compelled to write this review to hopefully encourage any of his patients or future patients who do have concerns, that you do not have to stay with him. There are other wonderful doctors with great experience in New Jersey who are willing to listen to and answer patients’ questions.

I CHOSE Dr. Rezvani despite living 40 minutes away from his practicing hospital. I entrusted myself to him that much. He’s the perfect balance between modern medicine and old-school values, alrhough i had a hi-risk pregnancy, he made sure I was never alarmed yet thoroughly informed. His bedside manners and those of his nurses made me feel like i was their only patient. I had a very difficult C-section birthing my son and i believe i am living/functioning (as if nothing ever happened) because of Dr Rezvani. I can go on and on about him and his team . . . My family is eternally grateful????
